  • [Photo Feature]: Blitzkrieg Club-Connect: a 2167 kms ride to meet bikers across locations

    Well, time to write another triplog. Here is the teaser.

    What it was aimed at: Meeting and interacting with bikers across locations
    The other objectives: Testing our endurance during hot summer at the extreme conditions

    My TBTS is about to complete one year and hence, this ride was her birthday trip too. In addition,me and couple of my friends are gaming for few long rides like a 20000km all India trip, a ride during Durga Puja covering 5000 km (Mangalore to Kolkata and back). In addition, there were biker friends across locations whom I did not happend to meet personally. So, we, from Blitzkrieg (our biking club), have planned out this ride with Bangalore-Hyderabad-Hubli as out tentative haults.

    The biking clubs/riders' group we met during this ride:
    RTMC, Bangalore
    Bulls of Mysore
    XBHP Hyderabad
    99 Canons, Hubli (NORTH KARNATAKA ENFIELD CLUB )

    What touched our heart: The brotherhood across locations

    Special friends who motivated us:
    Deepmallya from RTMC
    Moochwala (Kaleem Sir) from XBHP Hyderabad
    Sanjeev Bhatia from 99 Canons, Hubli

    Thanks to xbhp.com for providing such an amazing platform to connect with Biking brothers across places.

    Well, that's all for the starter. Main course will be served post approval of the thread.

    Cheers.

    Thread Approved
    Advice is a form of nostalgia.
    Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

            Sakshar, I initially planned to meet you and even spoke to Kaleem sir, but couldn't meet you that day. Hope to meet you again soon, may be when we ride to Manglore sometime this year.

            Hope to see some beautiful pics.

              Day 1: Mangalore to Bangalore

              The planning for this trip started long back, though being an IT-slave, we could not manage to shell out time for the same.
              My phone was frequently ringing with messages from friends across locations. I had to keep my promises up to meet them. I knew they were waiting for me.
              So, we two (Me and Aravind) took a decision to take up this ride on 24th May. we have chosen the timing and route keeping in mind our upcoming pan-India trip as we thought of testing our endurance in this drastic conditions. So, the route plan was like
              Day1: Mangalore-->Saklespur--> Hassan--Bangalore
              Day2: Bangalore-->Ananthpur-->Hyderabad
              Day3: Hyderabad-->raichur-->Hubli
              Day4: Hubli-->Ankola-->Udupi--> Mangalore

              I leave it to the pics to describe the rest of the ride

              Starting up the ride from the Royal Enfield Showroom at Mangalore

              First stop, Ladyhill pertol pump before hitting NH-48

              In no time, I was in the beautiful roads of Shirdi Ghat (mind you, its might not be so good to drive on the same road during monsoon times)

              Miles to go, my trusted companion:

              Sometimes, I rest at my second home: Highway

              Near Hassan:

              Well, they waited 3 long hours for me on the highway. Sharing the same brotherhood Cruising Sultan from Infosys.

              Deepmallya, my dear friend from RTMC:

              Members of Bulls of Mysore and RTMC joined in for the dinner till late night. It was so fun. Nice to meet you all over there. And thanks for the honor.

              Sorry for the lack of sufficient number of good pics of the party as we all were busy in conversation.

              To hold your interest up, here are some teaser pic from Day-2 and day-3 of the ride. Yes, you guessed it right, its Kaleem Sir (Moochwala) from XBHP Hyderabad who is there in the picture.

              With my Salute for biking-brotherhood, I am signing off today. Will resume with the rest of the blog shortly.

                    Day 2: Bangalore to Hyderabad

                    Next day morning, we decided to start early from Bangalore to avoid city traffic. Moreover, though we were awake till late night, the excitement did not allow us to sleep much. So, we started at 5:30 am and in no time, we hit the awesome Bangalore-Hyderabad highway. Attaching the following photos to describe the awesomeness that we felt from the bottom of out heart

                    Places where we stopped to buy mineral water (very important considering the climate out there)

                    Old is gold

                    Consistent at 100 plus on my TBTS

                    Thanks to Aravind to drive my TBTS for sometime, which allowed me to take these snaps

                    We took our first break over here to hydrate ourselves

                    A roadside Dhaba, which serve amazing Egg Pulao. It was heavenly, and I could not resist for one more plate.

                    Bulls' eyes

                    Public transport, Reminds me of my childhood days. I miss those days.

                    Somewhere in between

                    XBHP Hyderabad chapter bikers were waiting for us for long on the highway. Finally, we met them near the Airport road. I must say, the best thing we experienced in Hyderabad is the biking brotherhood.

                    Well, we are amazed to be a part of this small G2G-Dinner party. Thanks you Kaleem Sir and each one of you from XBHP Hyderabad.

                    Planning for the days to come:

                    Thanks for the honor. I must say, I was so surprise by the same.
