Thread ApprovedAdvice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The title I found a little bit misleading, at first thought some Internatinal rides. Anyhow pardon my poor english skills.
Always love to read travel log from this part of the country which is not much these days, i.e fellow riders from Calcutta.
You got some good writing skills. Please bring the rest soon.

PART-3: Of Jungles, Naxalites and Non-Existent Roads!
PART-3: Of Jungles, Naxalites and Non-Existent Roads!My Susu-break Stop
Charting out a mental route map and some speed-distance-time calculations, I started on my steed without further ado as the tyrant sun was in no mood to relent. Punishing and unforgiving as ever, the rage of the sun only increased as I neared my destination. I knew that roads were too bad post Baharagora, but to my surprise, there were no roads for several kilometres!
Wasn't as Eerie as it might appear
Khud ki bhi photo le li jaaye yaar!
This made me stand on the foot-pegs and ride between some stretches and I could not take the Hunk beyond a princely speed of 15 kmph. In my mind I was comparing myself to the Dakar Rally riders who ride on footpegs for several hundred kilometres. Any comparison was only an ignorant game.

FINAL PART: Homecoming!
FINAL PART: Homecoming!Sign that brought Smiles
A Closer Shot Home!
The sesky Odo read out a seskier number!
I had made it and how! Fighting bad roads, fear (a little only, though!) of extremists and above all the sun (That day in Jamshedpur was the hottest in this season at 47 degrees!). Full of dust and drenched in highway sweat, I raced through the stairs to reach the second floor and finally into my home sweet home! What a homecoming it was!

Hero Moto Corp has started a 'Good Life' programme for its customers with a minimum contribution when you buy a 2-wheeler/have a HH 2 wheeler. These days, the contribution is added to the on-road price of the bike and voila! you have a slight increase in the OTR price! The main benefit is that for that contribution, HMC provides a 1lakh personal accident cover!
Other benefits also follow like discounts on genuine parts n stuff/reward programmes/etc.

Good good... Reminds me of the Kharagpur to Bokaro trip I made long back...
Cities like Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ranchi (some parts) have well laid roads, but the rest of Jharkhand is actually only Jhaar.... (bush)
Congratulations bro.... Ride safe!Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

Thanks a lot dude! I feel that one of the problems that these areas/people from these areas face is that the places are not well-known. As in the places are not well-covered on text when on road-trips and stuff like that. Whereas on the other hand, even a short 100 km ride, say in south/west north India is written, recognized and analyzed in detail.
In short, we need more people from these areas - to Tour and 'advertise' these wonderful unexplored states!
