              Day 2 - Mallacoota - Merimbula - Tathra - Bermagui - Nowra - Wollongong - Sydney

              Map for Day 2

It was a different experience spending the night in a Caravan. The number of beds which i saw in the caravan..could have accommodated 5 more peoples.I packed my stuff and went to the Mallacoota Beach.Didn't saw many peoples except few surfers.

Later on i returned to the town and went to the Lakeside drive. The entire drive/ride was very scenic and was worth every moment.Took plenty of pictures and here are few of them.

Few Birds - A bunch of Parakeets,Lone Pelican and an unknown small birdie.

After spending some good two hours at Mallacoota,It was time to bid good bye to the coastal city.I came back on the highway and started my ride towards Eden which was the next pit stop.

Nullica river meeting the ocean - Few kms before Eden

I reached Eden and took the diversion for Cattle Bay.It was very beautiful..Most importantly very peaceful.

I sat for few mins and checked/analysed the further route which had to follow. To make it little bit interesting i decided to take the internal coastal route, the diversion to which was from Pambula.I reached Pambula, but failed to identify the diversion and went ahead. This is the disadvantage you face when you dont have the proper GPS device with you.I was running on the Mobile GPS/Maps so far. When i realized that i am on the wrong way,I took the U turn and came back to Pambula.Pulled over on a parking lot and verified the route in GPS.Followed the directions and i was there on the correct route moving towards Merimbula/Tathra.

              TO BE CONTD

              Cheers

These coastal cities, drives and attracts lot of tourists because of their beauty and geography. In AUS..the highways leading to such places are marked differently and are termed as Tourist Highways. It makes more easier for outsiders like us to interpret it,but these routes are frequently patrolled and monitored by Cops and Highway Patrols as compared to the other main highways.

Every bikers wish - Fast lane highways

I reached Merimbula and stopped for a snap of Merimbula lake.

I continued ahead towards Tathra and just before i reach Tathra,I was pulled off by a Highway Patrol. Now you guys know why i mentioned about the cops in first Para :P.The cop was monitoring me for 2000 mtrs ..before he asked me to pull off by flashing the lights of his car and by putting the siren ON.
He asked me all the papers and Driving License. In that part i was clean,so he asked me that why your right indicator was ON for 2000 mtrs.I explained him that it might have left ON,while i was merging from Left lane to the Right lane. Then he took out the breath analyzer and asked me to blow some air :P.I came out clean as i hadn't drank much in the last night.
I promised him that i won't make this mistake again and will triple check the indicators .. every time i switch them ON and Turn them OFF.So he let me go,Later on i checked that the offence i had made is not enough for issuing a ticket, that is why the COP left me with the warning.

I reached Tathra and stopped for a Coffee break at Tathra Beach Cafe.

Next destination was Bermagui, which was another 45 Kms.The road was two lane and was in pretty good condition. The bridges on this tourist route were the old wooden bridges, which were maintained quite well...except the fact they were not too wide and were able to allow one side traffic at a time.

My sweetheart _ taking me to the to all these awesome places

Spotted this awesome beach at Cuttagee. On the other hand side was the Cuttagee lake.

Saw two chicks having a good time on the Cuttagee lake, test your eyes and spot the naked ladies and try to capture the details :P

Half of the day was already gone and i was still 390 kms away from Sydney.Reached Wallaga lake and stopped for a Photo break

And the road surrounded by the water from both the sides

Got clean bowled by the beauty of the place.Decided to ride non stop till Sydney as i did not had much time left.

                          Another enigmatic view

A pit stop for coffee break, the lake in the backyard caught my attention

And a Bee..doing his daily ritual

Didn't stopped much in the rest of the route, had to skip many beautiful places.Reached Sydney at 07:30 PM after riding some continuous stretches. My good old friend Amitav was staying at Paramatta in Sydney. So i headed straight to his place, got lost couple of time but finally made it to the place after couple of rerouting's

The night followed with Bakar and lots n lots of Scotch.

                          Cheers
