Overcoming From Dark Side of Motorcycling to brighter side. Where there is a Will there is a Way.

April 2011, Overcoming the dark side of Motorcycling was not so easy and fulfilling the dreams were Important too, after my accident, on the hospital bed I was more determined now to attempt a saddle sore. I was not ready to accept I fell from my friends p135 and broken my femur due to front disk caliper fault. So many plans were shattered, but in 24 hours my brain thinks practically for fraction of seconds :P . Before few days of my accident I was riding RTR180 so that I can get used to it and attempt the first big ride of 1600 plus kms as route survey but still will try my best to cover it in less than 24 hours. Any how all plans cancelled and nothing to do with on the boring hospital bed I got a call from Mohali Honda that your bike has arrived and the dealer was trying to make me the first owner of North India :P I stated him my condition and with some hesitation I told my Parents that my LAL PARI (CBR250R) arrived :P Expecting some dangerous, furious reaction from my Dad but he was cool and calm and asked me how to bring home the bike and smile was on my face. I then send my friends Harry and Arjun with the documents and cheque but the delivery delayed by Honda for a week. I was discharged from Hospital by then and the picture will tell you the story itself.Click image for larger version

So now the bike was in front of me and after 1 month I was able to sit on my bike like I did in my childhood sitting in a scooter :P and vroooom vroooom sound from my Vocal cord was there and my mom thought due to accident I have got some internal clotting type thing in my brain is the reason of this act and need a CT scan :P

My Bike was calling me and I was doing all my painful physiotherapy honestly. The 1 sight of the bike was increasing my will power. And after 3 months I was on my bike. The waiting period for both of us was over in July.
Being in Chandigarh you have many places nearby to spend run in period and getting used to the bike.
August 2011thSeptember 2011 my Leg was quite normal and I started reading IBA rules again and just waiting for the right time.
October : First week I woke up and looking out of window while having my Breakfast coffee I observed dense fog with visibility of 50m. The days were passing and there was no change in night and morning fog conditions called up my brother Anurag in Kanpur and he told me the situation is same dense fog with visibility of 20 30 meters. Again I was confused and friends advising me attempt the IBA ride in June so that you get Long day time and short night with no fog.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
