    yea. But i wouldnt recommend it at all to anyone. Anything longer than a day and carrying the bag on the back just feels like torture. And it really restricts your movement on the bike.
    For any future long trips im stocking up on bungee cords.

    Excellent trip dude. After long time, I have read the complete log from start to end since your narration made me to read the entire log. I am waiting to do solo ride like yours..got inspiration from your triplog basically. While start, you thought of buying bungee cord during the ride, but for the full trip you have managed to wear the backbag.

    Sometimes when i'm really exhausted i wonder if i'm really cut out for touring on a bike, but looking at your comment, its good to know that i'm not the only person who experiences all these emotions.

    Awesome log.. Just loved reading it. The duke is just so much fun to ride. I had done a 1500kms 4day trip from chennai-ooty-bandipur national par-coimbatore-Hoggenakal-Chennai on my duke. And I too had almost same experience as you did with all the rain, bad raods, open highways, twisties, climbing up and down, exhaustion, desperation to reach home, accidents(actually witnessed one in front of myself) and finally joy of reaching home/completing a long journey.

    @vino: The same reason why people climb Mt.Everest or endure the hardships and dangers of trekking through the Artic to the Poles (even though mine is nowhere close). You do it for the joy of doing what you love and the sense of achievement that comes with it. And its nice once in a while to be grateful for all the things we take for granted during our normal life: Being dry, people around you... your own bed

    The Duke's still great. i still love that bike the same since the day i first got it. Looking to keep it for a while.....until maybe i can buy the 390 with my own cash.

    Felt sleepy lazily opened the thread, LOTS of writing not much pics. But after started reading WOW!! glued to your thread, well done and neatly narrated. Me too used to get the same paranoids whenever I think of doing solo rides, but they fade away once I rest my butt and keep riding .

    BTW how was the DUKE now?

    I did not miss pictures because reading this was like...like watching a movie. Your thoughts felt like mine, I'm a bit paranoid too

    After reading i feel its my experience, its me who done this trip, feels really great.

    I've never written anything so long in my life. But since it was about something that i really liked, it dint feel like work at all.
    Hoping to do more trips once i start earning. Right now its a fight between Fuel and Food..

    That's one beautiful beautiful log. Most of the logs I "read", I look at the pictures, skipping through most of the talk. Yours - I Simply didn't need pictures. Excellent log.
