Nice travelogue mate, nice pics.. reminded me of the days, i used to do some short tours on my Discover.

After taken some rest we started exploring kolli hills, as I have been there so most of the places were known t me.
So we went towards the new destinations ..

After that we all tired heart came back to lodge, had dinner, watched TV and then slept , thats how our 1st day of this trip used..

Day2: kolli hills to valparai (350+kms)


After a good sleep we woke up, though me & sujoy woke up quite early to enjoy kolli hills morning weather.
Weather was slightly chiling while roaming here n there on my platina ..


After that SId & saket also woke up at 8am . We all packed our stuffs and ready to hit the road at 11am after a heavy breakfast ..

Thats how me & sujoy explored morning Kolli hills .
At 11am we hit the road one more time, planned to ride slow ( > irritating) as saket can't even find me on the highway ..

After completing those 78 hairpin bends we came on the highway towards coimbatore..
But road condition was not great as it was state highway (2way), so big big vehicles were not letting them (sid & saket) ride in a good speed .. Every 15 mins they were disappearing from my RVM and I had to wait to catch up with them ..

these roads are quite dangerous compared to northbengal & sikkim because of bad driving habit , the drivers here will never let you know that they are just in the turn , they will never honk.

After that we started cruising on state highway.



Here we stopped for lunch


After that we searched for some used tyre tube for binding luggage on saket's bike , as ropes were not helping him much.
No problem with my bike as my saree guard is modified to hold more luggage and I am used to binding bags with tube very easily ..
We found old bike tube, cutted into 2 and then tied lugge one more time.
As I have already said this trip was to teach Saket , not about my ride ..
Here we have wasted a good amount of time but never checked the watch.

Just after crossing the bridge we stopped for a butt break and after all scorching sun was killing us , thats why I prefer not to ride 12 to 4pm span in summer ..

After that we rode in wrong route , came back on proper route reached pollachi at 7pm.
We all were hungry ,took ice cream, cold drinks ..
Changed engine oil for my bike started towards valparai nearly after 7.30pm the road was already silent, not vehicles spotted ..

The road was mull of mist, we could feel that we were entering western ghat, crossing tea plantations , hoping to see any animals but bad luck no elephant ..


We reached valparai at 9.30 pm when most of the shops already closed but just before entering Valparai we found a nice homestay at 1200rs for 2 nights ..


Saket direct went to bed even wearing those riding gear (except helmate & gloves) , me & sid left for searching food or dinner, bought maggi, water cold drinks etc.
We was already having Ready to eat in our luggage ,adding that maggi we had awesome dinner , cooked in small electric tea mug, after a nice hot bath..
started chatting about the ride and slept ..


But the main ride stated from next day ..

Wow, impressive guys on a platina. I had a 100 cc before and by bum used to go sore even if I ride for a 30 - 35 km ride. Wonder how you guys are travelling so far with a lot of luggage. Shows that will creates skill. Cool job. Waiting for the rest of the log.

Here I am uploading the parts ..





Normally I have a bad habit of waking up early in the morning ,that day was also was same.
I woke up at 6.30am , freshned up, took the key of xpro ,left the room as all others were sleeping.
I wanted to check the capability of Xpro on the hills .
I was amazed to see the performance of Xpro , felt like handling borrowed from big brothers , though the torque was quite less compared to Platina125.
In the morning I was riding quite rashly touched foot-pages doing corners in every possible turns ..
But suddenly just after a blind longish turn at 70+kmph speed found a fast driving bus was hurling down towards me in my lane only . Ohh shi*, it was a close call , any how I saved , abused the bus driver a lot .Thanks to 130mm drums and MRF rubbers ..
after that I started riding in my normal riding style enjoying the morning natural beuti toward unknown, left the known road took a turn towards unknown bunglow ..

Fist we started riding towards sholaiyar dam.

Actually after crossing the bridge we found a checkpost, they asked "where do you wanna go?"
we just ansed that side,and started riding









after going nearly 35-40 kms we found a village
There we took the best tea of our lifetime , the smell we can't forget...





After having tea we heard ,there is a temple on the top of the hill, and some elephant attacked there, we rushed towards the temple , the road was only offroad but could not found any elephant

After that we came back to valparai, in the main market area we took our lunch in an keralian hotel with nice chicken and rice meal ..
Then we went to our room,took 1hour of rest and again we started venturing again.
Now this time stater cruising toward Pollachi as last night we could not enjoy the roadside at night ..

Day 4:
The day , we planned to ride to vellore which was nearly 550+kms , so not a problematic for me but was a challenge for Saket as a new bee..


We started very early morning at 4am from Valparai, it was night only not a morning ..
Very cold , roads were full of mists , and I started enjoying the ride ..


BTW after some 10-15kms only Saket asked to stop us as he was having vomiting tendency because Sid was riding his bike doing cornering in each & every turn ..

While riding monotonously we found lots of coconut tree which were very small in height and lots of coconut,then what burraaaa (term stolen from Ramneek bhai :P),

and thats how we were riding , (only for 40kms I rode without my gloves, pic clicked that time only)

thats how we reached salem took our lunch and rest as we were not in mood to ride in Hot sun light , but keya kare after 1 hour we started once again..


reached Krishnagiri at 6pm took tea and started one more time ..



last petrol filing for my bike , as it give quite less mileage compared to Xpro..


We reached vellore at 9.30pm ..




It was my slowest ride ...550 kms in nearly 16-17 hours , really it was slowest ...
