For many of you that frown on naked superbikes, do a rethink. The Zed was an absolute feast to ride and no body/wrist fatigue whatsoever. With some added padding on the seat, my bottom complained less this time (want to try out sheep skin-fur & my windshield next time). Anyway the following pictures will describe the whole ride experience.

All ready to leave home at 7:00AM

The smooth 6-lane Expressway out of Jeddah

Gassing up. The red one is 95 Octane & Green one is 91 Octane

    Catching the morning sunrays

    Approaching Usfan town

The dusty Usfan town is last part of civilization

    Starting approach to the mountain

    There it all begins

The Dirt section was not easy with super slick tires

At the half way turning point

Warning is essential as on some curves when you reach the top, you suddenly see the road dipping sharply to the left or right

    An oasis with date palms

They call it the Camel Rock, but to me it looks like something else...

Thats the road cleaning/maintenance crew (my gratitude to these guys)

Golden stretch for Jeddah bikers. With almost no traffic & road visible for miles ahead, you can top 300kph on this stretch. My personal best was 220

    The approach back to civilization

All in a days work. Back home at 11:48AM with 343kms on the odo.
Sir, can u please once again post the the images as i'm not able to view the images......

@ Siddhant. I suddenly saw my thread wake up from its slumber and was wondering what happened.

I can see all the pics in your above post (post#46). I had uploaded them on imageshack and hot linked them here. Maybe imageshack site is not opening on your computer/network and thats why the link is not connecting & not showing the pics.

BTW, few weeks back our BMW group had been to another place called Madraka which also has a lot of sweeping curves & mountains. Lots of pics & some videos but didnt find time to post. Shall start that thread later.

Z1000 and CB1000R are the only two naked bikes that I'd ever think about buying (if I ever get into buying a litre class bike)

Amazing place + amazing bike = Biking nirvana
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Thanks guys. Saudi is indeed a wonderful place to enjoy your superbike- good roads, good bike prices and bloody cheap fuel...

@ Binoy- The Z1000 was a small love affair back in 2008. Although I wanted to keep that bike for a while, I had to finally sell it as I was just not finding time to ride 2 bikes (more trips to the battery recharging shop than riding!!). As for jacket, I recently also picked up a Cramster jacket for myself and now for my wife I have ordered a Tour Master Trinity jacket from sporttour.com as Cramster is out of stock on Dyna jacket.
