    The view at Kot Lakhpat

    The Wow moments:-

A loud thundering sound, just as i was about to turn, what on earth was that, a 6 wheeled truck with monster wheels?
Oh my God- it’s a Tatra- the best automobile to drive in the place which is all white and wet far as horizon reaches or when sun kisses the land @ dawn and dusk.
BSF Tatra rolls so fast where i was stuck on a camel drawn kart
Another moment, I saw 3 people jumping around in a private Beach, enjoying the golden rays @ Dusk.
Another day it was the cool breeze and a tradition of calling the Foxes with Sweet Prasad at Kaladunger, and at-last they did come.
Then a wild adventure to the haunted ruins of Roha- the lost city.
Light paintings and the Orange Moon rise at Kot Lakhpat, once the most vibrant trading port of this region.

Ever since i stepped in Gujarat, there was a weird urge to step in and explore the largest district of INDIA.
When Swaroop called me up for the Roobaroo Kutch trip, I felt somewhere that this is my calling , the best way to see around with the Bull guys, Enfield riding group. This is the first ride I got a chance to ride along the Royal Enfield owners group, though this was not their brand only ride.

It was a chilly ride, though beautiful in its own way where we maintained a healthy speed of 100+, coz riding slow at that pace in
night wud make me sleepy and Dushyant gave me a good company keeping up.

We took a break for tea, sutto for those who smoked. Recharged by tea, and warmed up hands from exhaust heat from the bulls, we cruised to out next halt before the diversion to Bhuj.

Just before the Salt pans, we had a short breakfast, headed straight to salt farms spend some quality time shooting pics.

After that sped fast to reach Adipur, where our lunch was arranged. The meal was super good though vegetarian, loved it.
Now it was time for us to explore the region. After a short break, we left to Bhedmata temple, where the custom of Barter system of
trading animals still existed in the spring season. The Bull riders did some super off roading in the dried up river bed, rocky partly
                          and part gravel n sand.

After the off roading, we went to Lehar Vadlo or the wavy banyan tree, an unique place of calmness and beauty.
The monkeys in our DNA started to show the traits and within few seconds found myself along with Dushyat on the top branches of the wavy Banyan tree.

After testing our gifts from primates, we rushed out of the shades of the wavy Banyan tree.

The rush was actually the call of hunger; we were ready to check out the spicy Vadapav of Kutch. But our next destination was awaiting the opposite direction of vadapav, hence vadapav was put on hold - and we hurried to the next destination Ashapura tekri hill temple.

This was one adventurous ride, though farmlands, rocky pathays leading to the base of a small hill.

From there it was around 700 steps of more than a foot high each to the hill top. We got of the bike and started climbing the hill by foot. It was a strenuous exercise and Dushyant and I reached there first. The view form there was breathtaking, we could almost see Pakistan border. There was a small temple on the top, then waiting there for others, we two started to explore the hill top. Now this lead to discovering one ancient temple in a natural cave on the backside of the modern one. After almost 30 minutes Narrain reached and then Swaroop. After a brief resting time, we crawled out drained out completely. It was time to hit the nutrients.

Heralaxmi craft park is a must visit for any visitor to Kutch. So many different artforms, coloreful dress woven by local craftsmen, pottery, small toys, handicrafts, even knifes and swords. It’s a beautiful place and frequented by foreigners and Indian tourists.

After roaming around and getting little stuff that we could carry in our saddles, we decided to head to Bhuj for the night stay. We got into the Lakeview hotel, as per booking. After the routine shower and freshening, and a good Dinner it was time to rest. A worthy and heavy Day1 for the Roobaroo Kutch..

                          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Day 2 - We got off early morning, around 5.30, after hot tea and tiger biscuits from the nearby chai wala- headed straight to Tapteshwari caves.

The beauty of the caves cannot be explained simply by words, a horse shoe shaped hill chain with embedded caves which faces north in such a way that the caves get lit only during sunrise. The caves are less frequent by visitors as its almost unknown to the public. There is a small temple a the base of the hills. Even the roads leading to the caves are so beautiful.

After breakfast the team split to 2, one headed to the BSF and Police HQ to get the relevant permissions. The other team, Dushyant and I headed to the attractions in Bhuj. Aina Mahal, Payag mahal and Shorff Market. Aina mahal and prayag mahal does not require introductions- almost every visitor to Kutch/bhuj never misses them.

But Shroff market was different- a unique market to shoppers near to Aina Mahal, we almost got lost finding our directions out after getting inside few bylanes which were interconnected and almost losing my helmet in one shop. If you like to get any stuff from Bhuj, get it here from Shroff market, be it be jewelry, decorative, or colored dress. Recommended shop- Adersh embroidery shop.

Now it was time for us to Check out from the hotel and have a good lunch.
After a good lunch we were ready to head to Mandwi and Vijay Vilas palace.
It was almost 3 we reached mandwi. First we headed to Vijay Vilas palace. A beautiful Palace, with fusion of Persian and Hindu architecture.
Now it was time for pure masti- Mandwi beach.

A private beach with a few Foreigners, and a beautiful sunset awaiting us. It was really a beautiful sight worth enjoying every second.

Adding to the beauty was the almost full moon rising right after the sunset. We got into our swimming trucks without wasting time, gopro HD3 armed on a high tripod recording our animalistic ventures in the seashore. At sunset time - it was another time to shoot beautiful silhouette photos. slow-motion jogging and flying poses all around. We seriously missed a football there.

The sigh of the orangish moon-rise was another breathtaking view, when the moon rose from the opposite side of sun, between the windmills.
After the masti- we headed straight to take a fresh water shower and then to dinner in the private resorts restaurant. This place was decorated beautifully with lanterns everywhere, and we tried to capture the beauty in few long exposures.
After dinner , we headed out to our Hotel.
