Re: A 560 Kms ride on a RainY Day through Nallamala Forest
Hi Sandeep, Great road trip in the wet. How did the tyres cope up in the wet and slush? can you explain the grip levels in wet when compared to the grip in dry roads... Please post the route that you took (also, the recommended route - I know this, at times, differs)...also recommended places to stay. I am from Chennai and my telugu is basic - guess Nallamalla res forests are not that far off. May be it is a different exp from the usual Ooty, Kodai...Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostYah bro

The tyres performed well, indeed i too was worried initially during the start of the journey but they did their job well ( my bike is a 1 and half month old one, so new tires ) and more over my bike is C-ABS equipped and so dint found much difference when braking hard too on wet conditions too but i never lost control or faced any slide too when running through slush.
The route i have taken was
and if u r coming from Chennai to Srisailam you ll also take Doranala - Srisailam route and that route is awesome there are no pot holes only few patches are there at some places and there are speed breakers once u enter Nalamalla Forest. Till Chennai to Ongole the route ll be good but from Onlgole till Doranala i have no idea about the road condition's as i have never traveled through that route. Once u reach Srisailam there you can find places to stay and i guess that they have opened the Srisailam Dam gates too now and u are going to have an amazing time there if you are going to spend 1day atleast in exploring Nalamalla and Srisailam, and from Srisailam Nagarjunsagar dam is around 180Kms and its also a worth visiting place.
If you check my other article TO EXPLORE THE UNEXPLORED you will come across a place named Hamsaladeevi that place is around 160kms from Ongole and i have visited there during April and its one of the beautiful beaches which i have visited so far , you can plan accordingly which places you want to visit and then prepare your plan.

Re: A 560 Kms ride on a RainY Day through Nallamala Forest
Thanks for the info. My bike is less than a month old and I haven't reached the 'comfort zone' with my bike. I am thinking about plans for Aug 9-11 long weekend and Srisailam seems like a good place to ride to. I ll see if I can ride through the entire forest stretch instead of Ongole route. Do you know about any 'law-and-order ' problem in the forests ?Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostHello Bro, Thanks for liking my trip

There are not checking each and every vehicle or infact they are not stopping any one near the checkpost's too. But those routes will be closed from 21:00 hours. So if you plan to reach srisailam you have to ride there before 21:00 hours.Originally posted by pitbull View PostThanks for the info.
