Re: Ride through untouched nature of Andhra
Hey I'm from Vizag bro, not doing any rides as I'm caught up with my final year academics (or lack of it as you know the state's condition
)
The Bhadrachalam Maredumilli Route is great bro, give it a try, its beautiful, peaceful and dangerous, and yep there's a risk of Naxals giving you a stop, but as long as you support their movement (by paying a little dough) they're ok with it
I've done it by car, but as we all agree, gotta do it on the bike man !

Thanks Bro...... Yah ll post the rest soon. My net is down at home
since past 3 days, so not able to post the remaining pics..
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I started this ride with a lot of questions in my mind. How will the roads be ? and How will the place look like ? and few more questions.
Started at around 9:30AM from my home and met Anirudh at 9:45AM and soon we started riding. I happen to notice that fuel stations were being forcefully shutdown by agitators at some locations , So i decided to tank-up my bike as i was afraid that i might run out of fuel while returning back if the fuel stations remain closed. I have to turn back with out tanking up my bike from around 2 stations as they were not accepting card for payment. Luckily at a HP stations they accepted my card for payment and i have tanked up my bike and i was lucky because after i made the payment and about to leave the fuel station agitators entered into the fuel station and demanded the owner to shut it down
Took a first break after covering 30Kms on seeing this beautiful location.

After crossing a placed named Vuyur faced a first road block by agitators who were cooking on the roads blocking the way and few guys surrounded us on seeing our attire and started asking questions where are u from ! what's this bike ! R u doing for any RACE ! all blah blah questions..
Look at those guys how they were peeping into me

Took some random snap near the road block.

After some 15minutes or so, they left a very small gap for bikes to pass by and we were finally out through the road block. Started cruising at 90Kmph on the open roads and decided to stop only after reaching Machilipatnam. When we were about to reach Machilipatnam stopped by a village and was inquiring villagers which road to take from Machilipatnam to reach Perupalem, mean while at the village some Congress politicians were doing a dharna( for United Andhra ) and i dint notice that and even i dint notice them calling me and my friend too, as we dint respond them to their calls a police official came near by to us when we were about to leave and stopped us and started his inquiry regarding where we were from ! and what Why were we dressed like ! this and all stupid questions. On seeing my tank bag he asked me What was i carrying in it ! and i told him there is a camera inside it and he asked me about the bag which i tied it to my rear seat and i told him there is a tripod and foot pump. He asked me open the bag and show it to him, in the mean while he asked me what i do for living and i told him i work in a engineering college as Assistant Professor and he asked me to show the ID card instead of opening the bags and on showing him the ID card he was satisfied with that and he suggested me a new way to reach my destination and i was a fool , which i realized later upon taking the route he suggested . It was a route through a village and even on my Nokia GPS those roads were not shown, i relied on locals and reached the main road somehow and started riding towards Perupalem. Came across around 3 more road blocks on the way by agitators.
When we were near about 40Kms from the destination it started raining like hell and we found a shelter and parked our bikes in there and we were waiting for the rain to slow down,
Mean while took a snap ......

Rain slowed down after about 50Minutes and we decided to roll back onto tarmac as we were running late. As we went ahead for about 200Meters heavy shower started again and i found some small shelter and took my bike in there but dint notice the sand there before taking the bike. It was gummy sand which was toooo thickkkkk.

i had put my rain wear and as the rain slowed down we decided to get back on to tarmac. But my bike got stuck in the sand there ( above pic is the place where my bike got stuck ) i got down off my bike and tried to move it but it was of no use and then asked my friend to hold my bike and i have put some sand under the rear wheel and tried to move it , it moved and then again got stuck , on seeing us both trying hard a local who was passing by stopped and helped me by pushing my bike onto the road and in return the rear wheel has spilled mud on this white shirt. I said sorry for that and thanked him for coming into rescue. And as R15 is light in weight it came out without getting stuck like my bull.
After riding for about another 20Kms saw the sun coming out of the clouds and i was a bit relieved on seeing the sun that it is not going to rain again and spoil my plans. Took few pics at an awesome location.

Thank You, for liking my picsOriginally posted by thedreamer09 View PostSandeep Garu,
Awesome pics. Especially the second pic. You could have hidden the side stand.
which would have made us believe that he was actually balancing the bike.
Yah i should have hidden it but i haven't noticed it while setting up my camera on tripod i was worried that sun might get covered by clouds. All in all captured it in a bit of hurry

No i dont use any filter, the climate was awesome at that time that made it look like that and i highlighted blues using adobe light room.Last edited by Sandeep Patnala; 10-14-2013, 12:12 AM.Rides : Yamaha Gladiator RS ( 2009 - Present )

You can visit atleast some 2 places in a day, as these are like 150Kms from Vijayawada.
