Was thinking of a writing a good line about how bad i was missing a ride, settled down with the a statement "Spin to Quench my thirst". Being without a ride was hard and being up in a foreign land and checking the FB pages of my friend who were on G2G's, Monsoon rides and also the local clubs doing a ride here - was like adding up more oil to fire :-(
I sketched out a plan before travelling to US that land up there - take couple of months to get used the environment, work and commute, get myself the license - drive around the locals to get to know about the routes and places to see - then take a ride, but Work tool a toll and was held up at all angles. Even then at back of my head the bike ride was still lingering and took steps one by one - got my motorcycle license in US, checked out for Rentals of super-sports and fixed up n Yamaha R6 for the ride.
Called up the Rentals and fixed up on the bike and did my booking, but got to postponed it twice due to other priorities but third time was damn sure that am gonna ride. With a help of my neighbor reached the rental on Saturday afternoon to see a shining black R6 all read and waiting for me to saddle it. Completed the paperwork quickly and took hold of the reign for the 108 bhps - all smiles in my helmet :-D. Reached home and parked the bike safe. Plan is to ride in my community to get the feel of the bike in short n tight turns. Did that too - also another thing happened that, this became an eye-candy for other people - reason nobody rides a motorcycle - forget taking it for rent. couple of discussion went on where i got the bike and why, small rounds for the kids in the neighborhood - and some photography in the night.. all went well for the day. Tried to sleep for a good ride tomorrow.
Alarm rang by 6am and am all set geared up for the ride by 7am. Its was cold outside with sun shining bright. Slowly revved up and rolled outside my community to the county roads and my short spin started. With few miles galloped i could feel the hands getting numb due to chill winds - wasn't prepared for this - but the passion overcame it and soon ride became more fun - started to enjoy the curves and the scenery giving its best with good colors of Fall. With a good share of County roads, Interstates, Freeways - reached the Lake to see it scantily populated with few people who were there for a walk. Parked by bike - stretched out myself - stared with my Photography learning session :-). As ususal started to click the lake, trees, pathway, the machine i rode, experimenting different angles and couple of self-timer shots :-D. After my photo stint its time for me to ride back - it was too cold even with sun shining which i realised after taking photos without my gloves on, clicked gloved up - packed the camera's and started my ride back home. During my return ride took the freeways majorly to try getting more speed and was touching 90 - 95 miles an hour in a stretch but with Car infested highways got back my senses and slowed down to the speed limit and sticked on to that until i reached the rental. Parked the bike, completed the paperwork and started to home with my friend but not without thanking the guy for giving me an awesome machine to ride.
Now time for the photos. All the routes were awesome with scenic surroundings but couldn't stop an take any pictures in the highway - but this seeds the need for a Go-Pro :-)
