Diwali was just around the corner and I was having a day off from office, hence making it an extended weekend. I was chatting with my friend and planning to go to Chikmagalur/udipi-shravanabelagola-halebeedu and nothing worked out and finally I said "let's go to Bellary(home town) in bike and he accepted it(I was excited to travel as this was my first road trip on bike) and then I said lets go to "VaniVilas Sagar dam" near Hiriyur, he said yes for all those and I was happy 
.
Two days before the travel he said I cannot come with you due to some personal problem, I was very upset
and planning to book the bus tickets to go to home and could not a seat/berth and planned to cancel to go to home. The day before travel in the evening I got a call from my friend saying "let’s go" and I felt little bit comfortable and went out to fuel my bike in shell petrol pump.
@ Morning 6Am we left Bangalore from Banashankri(near DeveGowda petrol bunk), I was very eager and excited to touch the highway on my Royal Enfield thunderbird 350cc bike and cruise. As the climate was very cold so took a first tea break in Tumkur after covering 80-85kms with in 1 hour. Bike was going so smooth on the highway and did not feel like stopping it at all and reached "VaniVilas Sagar dam" and spent around 2hrs there. The view was superb! and the specialty of this dam is that, it was built by "Sir. M Visvesvaraya" at the order of his Highness the Maharaja of Mysore "Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV" and it is one of the oldest dam in Karnataka.
Then my friend dropped off @ Challakere(Had lunch at his home) and from there I was travelling alone for about 105kms to Bellary. My parents were surprised to see me coming on bike from Bangalore
It was a truly amazing experience for me to travel 375kms and that too it was my first road trip on bike.
