  • one day out to Sholingoor from chennai

    Hi All,

This is one of my Favorite place that i always wanted to visit is SHOLINGOOR, a place which is near from chennai. It just 100 KMS away from chennai.

Me and my friends are planned for a day trip to Sholingoor and back in the same day., we planned it the evening break times and decided that we will start in the early morning of a saturday. below are the riders and bike details :-)

1.Raja & Sathish on Honda Unicorn
2.Sasi & Gowsi on Yamaha FZ.

We started in the early morning 5 AM and reached Thiruvaloor around 6 AM had a small tea break there as my friends needed a break. Started from Thriuvaloor and started to hit the Thiruvaloor to Arakonam road which i like most in my trips, such a nice road that has beautiful curves and bends.

in next 30 mins we reached aarakonam from there Sholingoor is around 40 Kms, the road was newly build which heated us to touch 100KMPH.
also both side of the road has such a green and beautiful mountains around it , we enjoyed that 40 kms like anything.

Once we refreshed our self, we prayed the 50 ft Hanuman statue near the pool and started to climb the hill which has 1450 steps

      Nice and lovely short trip.

      Few things though:

      1. Where is the helmet?
      2. Where is the remaining riding gear?
      3. Never click pics with your bike parked bang on the middle of the road! Its an open public road for god sakes. I know you'd have checked for traffic, but you never know.

      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

        That was 3 points

The 3rd point is very true. Even when you have parked the vehicle on the side, there are idiots who come and crash onto you.

Nice pics BTW. Hope you guys used helmets. Remember the thought "prevention is better than Cure"
