Day : 1
        5th Jan
        Route : Bangalore-Yeshwanthpur-Markonahalli dam -Kunigal-Chitradurga-Hospet -Hampi

After a series of failure of plans due to my exams being postponed it was time that i start to some destination and Hampi it was.
Initially the plan was to go to mahabaleshwar after hampi but, i had to scrap the plan as i got the new that mahabaleshwar would not be good in this time of the year and its not the season to visit that part. So MH was out of the plan . As one of my friend who rides a RE TB 350 asked me if i was planning any ride and i said yes and he was happy about the route as Goa was also included(which later got chanded) .

Before this ride ,i used to ride an Apache RTR 160 . This was my first trip on the CBR which i got after cribbing for a long time. After spending four years with the RTR this machine just feels so smooth and refined . And NO VIBRATIONS , which was a delight to ride it on long rides. I was very excited for this trip and equally afraid as i was very new to this bike and also it feels a little big . It almost felt like i was touring for the first time . I had actually planned the route in such a way that i get the straights initially and hit the curves when im good with the bike. I completed the Run-in (which i wanted to complete) in the city and did not exceed 5k rpm and now it was upto me as to how fast i wanted to go (within the bikes limit) after the first service at 920kms(30 days).
Everything after was just fun unlimited. I just fell in love again.

So it was 4 am when we both started from RR nagar(Blr)

it was a boring stretch all the way till Chitradurga.
        some pics enroute

        wear helmet ,ride safe

        Me

        We were close to Chitradurga

        Sun set

Road from the above spot was damaged very bad. We took almost 2.5 hours to travel 65 kms in the dark with a fatal accident enroute whick blocked the way for a little while and potholes big enough to burry me . Also this route is very busy with lorry's

        lingasur tunnel

We managed to reach hampi at 8pm and found a decent stay .

        End of day 1.

              Day : 2
              Route : Hampi-Kamalapur-Hospet-Gadag-Hubli-Yellapura-Ankola-Gokarna

Finding a decent affordable stay wasn't so tough as i'd thought. My friend informed me that he had to leave as he had some work back home . So we decided that we will visit the temples and roam a little in Hampi and then depart . First we visited the near by temple and then went on top of the hills for some pics and it was a not so hot morning and was pleasant . It was a nice morning walk with stunning views .

The pics will do the rest of the talking....

              Good morning!

              Lake view

please ignore the 2 ladies . I waited for a long time but they seemed in no mood to leave the place.

I was offered a boat ride (Teppa) to some temples around for Rs.200 which was worth it and the ride was 45mins. But due to shortage of time we had to skip it.

              Best looking Police station

I was a little early for the Ceremony (the stage for Hampi utsava ,which was scheduled for 10th jan)

              Welcome to Hampi

              Enroute Kamalapur

It was more than half a KM to the Vijaya Vittla temple from parking and it was too hot so we took the Eco-friendly public transport for Rs.20 (two way)

The swimming pool of hampi (Its Behind the pillars)

              It was hot as hell

tickets to the temple(Quality of tickets was surprisingly good. To attracts foreigners )

              the famous stone Chariot

Hampi was over here . We both Departed from this point and from then on it was a solo for me and with no speed boundaries . In simple words I was free

Since My friend was leaving form hampi ,I did not want to go to Goa alone .So just skipped Goa and headed to Gokarna After Hampi.
From There i took some butt breaks and Stopped at a dabha next to a fuel station . Had some good food and took a small nap for 45mins.

From 10kms Short of Gadag to Gokarna(About 230 km,except for few signals in Hubli city) it was a non-stop journey.

I had never experienced a situation with my RTR where i wanted to take pics and i didn't want to stop . But in Hubli-Ankola stretch i wanted to take pics but the road was so smooth and beautifully built that i could not stop myself from not stopping. It was 5.45pm and the sun was setting. I will never forget that sunset and the ride in that stretch.

After an insane ride , reached gokarna at 7.15 pm , immediately Called @Phanikar bhai and Divya bhai for stay information. Thanks a lot both of you for the help. As per the info i got ,the prices were very high as it was the season in that part including GOA.
This is the first time that ever happened that i got a room in the first place for the right price. As soon as i entered Gokarna i stopped to call the mentioned people and there was a board of rooms available right infront of me. I Enquired and surprisingly the guy replied that room was available and the Rate is 300 rs . i was expecting 650++
Tried my luck again and bargained , may be it was a very lucky day that I got the room for Rs.250 . The room was pretty good . Called it a day and rested .

              Beach time ahead
              To be continued......

                      Day : 3
                      Route: Gokarna-Honnavara-Murudeshwara-Marvanthe-Udupi

Posting details of first half of day 3 for now...

I had been to Gokarna 5 years back and was super excited to visit the beach. The first sight when you look at the beach is just amazing. I can just sit in the beach for the whole day, such peaceful and beautiful.

Got up at 7 am and had breakfast in the town and reached Om beach at 8:15 am.

There was a Boat at the shore and a guy wearing a cap waved at me and asked if i wanted to go for a boat ride?? I said yes. This was my first boat ride in the sea though i have visited many beaches before . It was the first boat which left the shore and with 7 passengers including me. Must mention that the boat was pretty fast . There was this group of 5 guy from bijapur along with me in that boat. As we left to the sea we became instant friends .

Take a look at what i saw there,

                      the first look

                      Sunrise

The most interesting and happiest part.
As soon as the boat left the shore , the driver of the boat just asked us if we wanted to see Dolphins . I was like WTF is he asking for real!!! and obviously we all told yes. He just took us some 200-300 mts into the sea and switched the motor off.
It was just too silent and the boat was dancing and so were we.

Suddenly the driver go up and pointed at one direction and told there ..... and guess what !!

                      Can you spot the Fish?

                      If not here it is

There were 2 Dolphins and we spotted then 5 times but this was the one and only photo of them. The happiness at that moment was priceless and can't be explained but experienced.
moving on ,we visited Half moon, paradise beaches (didn't enter the beach as they charge extra to let you on the beach)

I hate it when some one overtakes my vehicle.

The Gang who traveled with me on that boat.

                      What a VIEW !

                      First time Selfie

                      Banana Boat.

Some pics may look Similar but are very different

                      Videshi posers

I roamed around Om beach and sat by the shore for more than 2 hours and returned . Packed everything and i was back on road .
                      Destination Udupi.

                      Enroute Kumta

                      Second half will follow soon.

For a moment there when I saw your bike mounted with cramster saddlebags... I was like... Whats my bike doing in Hampi?!! Anyway... I follow the same kind of setup and my CBR is an all black too... except for the tyre rims ...

Cheers and ride on (like you rode on to gokarna)... i'm pretty sure you're gonna be doing that with your bike ... When I bought the CBR soloing took on a whole new different level.

                              Second half of day 3...

It was noon by the time i had left Gokarna. i maintained a steady pace and soon reached Honnavar. I took the deviation onto the Trial which leads to the beach and falls.

I had not noticed that both my digi cam and mobile were low on battery . so very few pics of Apsarakonda beach.

I was back on road , and this time very hungry . was very well aware of the hotel in murudeshwara.

Reached this place by 2.30 pm . Ordered myself some delicious butter chicken and rotis. I was in heaven.People travelling this route ,please try food at this place , its very good .
Rested there for quite a long duration and also had to charge up my digicam and mobile . so by the time i started it was around 4.30 pm coupled with a very delayed service at the hotel.
I wanted to reach Kaup for the sunset but all my plans crashed when i was stopped at a check-post for checking my docs.

SO that day the sun had to set in Marvanthe beach .

may be too much of editing.

I hate the traffic on NH17.
But ,I was very happy that i was able to witness such a beautiful Sunset and headed towards Udupi . Rested for the night and the next day the journey continued ......
