Day 1

Thane - Wadhkal Naka - Mahad - Chiplun - Rajapur - Naidand Titha - Kunkeshwar - Malwan (Chivla Beach) 520KMS

5.00 AM We Start our trip towards Konkan Side from thane.The ride from Thane – Wadkhal Naka with Cold Breezing aside.Our first priority was to save time and reach Malwan before it turns dark.We took a Halt at Wadkhal Naka for an early and heavy breakfast.

At 7 We started towards NH17,with its curves and ghats we were driving carefully 70-80.This was Naveen’s First big ride and also for me cause I have never been on NH 17 post Chiplun.

The Mighty Kashedi Ghat was in full swing with good road conditions.It was fun to ride with so many corners.





After Kashedi Ghat comes Chiplun,We took at a small halt at a big corner before Chiplun City for Coffee and Snacks.You can see the wonderful view from the place and an uncle ,everyone calls him “Mama” .

People Just come here for the scenic view and I would recommend to stop here for a small pit stop
Next stop was for lunch but we already had Heavy breakfast in the morning and also some snacks on the way.We took a small stop at Rajapur for a fuel stop and to cool ourselves with some coconut water and malai.We had to reach Kunkeswar Beach and Mandir before 4 so that we reach malwan before it turns dark.
So we went ahead in no hurry ahead of Rajapur where a small junction called “Naidand Titha” , Where we take a right for Kunkeshwar. The road to Kunkeswar is not in good condition and the roads leading up to it are a bit confusing.



As you can see the roads are lonely and hardly locals go by ,If anyone who is not familiar with the maps might get confused here.Best GPS Advice – Locals
The beautiful Kunkeshwar Shiv Mandir was beauty to see and the clean beach also.

We now Started our ride back to Malwan through MSH4 which for some distance runs along the coast and then lonely roads.





There are plenty of signs and boards to guide you to malwan,so that was no issue

Om Sai Shraddha Lodge


We reached Malwan on time , around 6.30 PM.We had booked a room at Om sai Shraddha Lodge at Chivla Beach which was 6-7 KMS from Malwan City.Om Sai Shraddha Lodge At Chivla Beach.Many People Recommended Hotel Atithi Bamboo for Malwani.its Run by a family in the backyard,food was upto the mark with the malwani taste.We found a good hotel next day for malwani food named Chaitanya Hotel in Market Area.

After a Hard day riding , it was time to sleep and next day time for Snorkeling and to see Sindhudurg Fort and

Wow.
