I think some people here might recognize me or at least my bike back in India. I joined xBhp as soon as I got my first bike, the Hero Honda Karizma back in 2011.
xBhp shaped the biker in me and changed my life for good. It all started with short 50km rides and in less than two years we were averaging 500 km per day for 5 consecutive days on the road. More than the distance, it was the endless memories, joy and freedom that we got from these rides. xBhp has played a major role in my life and I am glad that it did! I documented my first few rides and then I just stopped writing about them. I do have pictures from all my rides that still plays on an endless loop as the screensaver on my computer.
Unfortunately, I had to part with my bike last year because I had to leave the country for higher studies. I have come to the US for an MBA and the thing that I missed the most after moving here were the rides. Days were just spent drooling over the xBhp Tourer section. Then I got an opportunity and then an idea followed. We were to do a fundraiser to be eligible for a scholarship here and I thought why not do a fundraising motorcycle ride through all the 48 states of the USA. A few thought I was crazy, but I started doing my homework on this and found it to be feasible. It all started last September and I planned the ride for the summer because it is almost impossible to do something like this any other time with all the snow around. I started planning things and slowly everything fell in place. I successfully completed the ride too a few weeks back and we have raised almost $15,000 through the fundraiser.
