Day 3 - Stay in Pondy



Well as i said before i have a very close connection with pondicherry feels like my second home. and i have traveled here and i used to come visit the Auroville city which is one the major attraction out here in Pondy. well this time i couldn't visit the matra mandir which was build by the famous french architecture. Now that's one place u need to visit when in pondy. But i planned to stay at one of the auroville ashram's and i chosed Park guest house. Always wanted to stay in this guest house but it was always full. but this time i managed to get a place and they only rent it for member of auroville since me being a member i got a awesome sea view room for 2 days..

This is the second day pics when i visited the Paradise Island. and to reach this place you need to go to chunambar boat house. and take a boat ride from there.

the one and only shack on the whole beach.but it was so hot that i couldn't resist not having a a breezer. which was just perfect for the weather.

Well it was an awesome experience visiting this place.. Its a must see and you just take boat from chunambar and reach here spend you time as long and there are ferry shuttling every 30 mins and just take any ferry back. Following some pics on the pondy rocky beach.

Well that were some clicks of the day... well rest days were spent relaxing in the ashram meditating.. and had to take rest as the next day plan was to leave for Shrine Basilica velankanni so just went for walk in the eve on the promenade and went and slept early as had planned to leave for velankanni the next day early...

That was day well spent in pondy. very happy and content with the way my road trip i planned is going.....

Day 4 - Pondy to Shrine Basilica ( Vellankanni)






Well the day started pretty early since I had to reach the Shrine the same day. so started my day at 5.30 am and since i didnt know the way nokia here maps helped and some locals came to my rescue however just say vellankanni and i got direction for the whole 180 kms from pondicherry. And there i was on my way to the shrine which i had just remember seeing when i was a kid. anyways not may pictures i clicked except this one i dont remember the place but the serene sunrise that cold wind when i stopped on this bridge that connected me over this river or creek. from now its just picture description when i reached my last destination The Shrine.



Since shrine is very holy place for us Christian called home got all the instruction for the offering from mom and how to do it .




















This white construction just makes it look magnificent.


Well it was already noon around 1PM and the heat was just killing so took a room at a near hotel to rest and spend a night since nothing else on agenda wanted to rest.
and decided will only come back out in the eve when its cool.
