    Konkan Darshan on Bike: Travelogue of my week long bike ride across Konkan coast

    Hi Friends,

    I had been on a bike ride across Konkan in August 2013. My wife, Neha, accompanied me in the ride. Itinerary was Mumbai > Harihareshwar > Ganpatipule > Tarkarli > Mumbai.

    The ride was a 7 day affair where we started from Mumbai and headed for Konkan via Mumbai-Goa highway to reach Harihareshwar at end of Day 1.

    After that it was 6 days on Konkan beaches and riding on Sagari Mahamarg.

    We halted at Ganpatipule and then drove till Tarkarli.

    It was a memorable ride for us where we saw amazingly beautiful beaches, lush green riding stretches among other things.

              Doc... nice one... Konkan in August... lovely... how wet was the monsoon experience? Most times drenched? or just manageably wet?

              Would be nice to have the entire tlog here at the forum too...

              Loved the konkan landscape in August.

                  Luckily we rains did not trouble us except for a brief patch on day 1 while crossing the ghats from Mumbai-Goa highway to Harihareshwar. For entire trip there were no rains. Only overcast skies.

                  Putting entire blog here would be difficult. However, would put summary for next trip.
