I bought a Kawasaki ER-5,1999 model for 2100 Euros which includes insurance.Being that many years old..bike still runs very smooth. But i was little bit disappointed with the fuel efficiency. For a tank full of petrol it is only running 170 Kms approx.A 17 litre tank full of petrol costs 18 Euro.10 Km/ltr is very bad for a 500 cc bike i think :/
Routes here are pretty straight forward and we can reach to the highways by looking at the signboards which have the highway numbers and place where it is heading next.Name of the cities are little bit weird to remember,so i always go by the highway numbers

Wrapped up my work on Friday and left for Hameenlinna.E12 is the highway which takes us to Hameenlinna from Helsinki. This route also goes up further to Lapaland.

I reached Hameenlinna and moved to the only camping and caravan park called 'Aulanko Camping'.Most of the camping site was full on the lake side and i was left with the only option to camp in the inside area.Charge for camping here was 20 Euro for the night.I was't going to throw away this 20 Euro by camping in the inner ground area.So i found an uneasy space and pitched tent here

And sunset from the balcony of my tent

I did a small blunder before coming here,I forgot my camera battery at home

Next morning i decided to return back home and visit the Hameenlinna Castle next time.So the rest of Saturday was spent on resting.Sunday morning i started for Lohja lake..which is one of the biggest lake in Southern Finland.
Beautiful Highways

I reached Lohja and started looking for the directions to the Lake.I stumbled upon this church which looked very beautiful,i took a short break here..only to know that Lohja church is the third biggest medieval church in Finland. It dates back to the 15th century, probably between years 1470 and 1490. Impressive chalk paintings inside the church are made in the regime of bishop Arvid Kurki (1510-1522).
The Lohja parish was established in 1230s or 1240s and there have been several wooden churches before the present one. Also origins of the bell tower date back to the Middle Ages. The upper part was added in 1740.The church site is named as the national built heritage by National Board of Antiques.

There was a huge graveyard around the Church. And there were many peoples around who came to see their near and dear ones who had parted away in this race of time.I went inside the church and it was very beautiful and grand from inside as well.I didn't took any picture as people around me were there for prayers and i did not wanted to offend them in anyway by taking pictures. So i just sat inside for a while and headed back on my way to Lohja Lake.
I was trying to find a way to reach nearby the lake, but i was not getting any success.I tried two of the off-roads leading to the lake..at the end those roads were blocked.

At one of the no through road i ended up entering into a private property where i got a glimpse of the lake first time.Lohja lake is considered to be the biggest lake in southern Finland, but sadly there aren't any view points or look outs for the tourists.I quickly took some photos and ran away from there as my colleague told me that Finnish people don't like strangers invading into their property

On my escape from the frontiers i stopped in a local cafe to ask if there is any proper view point or a park sort of..where we can officially go and rest/chill for a while.Lady at the cafe pointed in Google maps at a location called Karkalin luonnonpuisto, which was another 30-40 kms where i was

Landscapes on my way to Karkalin luonnonpuisto

Reached a dead end from where i had to walk down into the forest trails
Walked around 5-6 kms,but none of the trail took me much close to the lake :/ However encountered some monsterous mosquitoes in the forest area

By condition of the trail,it was evident that not much people come here

A lovely flower at its full bloom

Next destination was Turku.
Cheers
