I think each ride short or long is unique unto itself. Having said that, this ride offered a wide variety of terrains and experiences which made it a memorable ride indeed!Originally posted by krishna77 View PostThe 6th picture from the bottom ... amazing! Getting lost in the woods and hills!

Re: Day Rides
This set of pictures is from today's ride to Lavasa. We began late at 8.30am and had breakfast at CCD Lavasa waterfront to return home around noon. The hills were spectacular in all its glory this day with the temperature in the low 20s and with no rain it made for a perfect day to ride. I cant remember last when we returned with clean bikes. Ha! I managed to take a few pictures with my gloves off which you can see below. All in all a Sunday well spent!Ride To Live

Re: Day Rides
Went for another morning ride to Lavasa last weekend Saturday. For some reason all the food stalls that dot the twisties from Mulshi dam till the Lavasa gate were shut and we had no choice but to stop for kanda pakoda and tea at Mulshi dam which were terrible. We then went to the Triumph showroom to test out the Street Triple 675 and I bought a Triumph shirt for Gurpratap's birthday. Later in the afternoon we caught up again and he bought a Nolan helmet, DSG riding pants and Vatera claw bags. All this gear is for some super rides we have planned October onwards, so stay tuned.Ride To Live

Re: Day Rides
This set of pictures is from a solo ride I made to Goa on 2nd Oct over the long weekend. I left Pune at 7am and made tracks towards Belgaum with my intention to ride via Chorla ghat. Chorla ghat is probably the only good road now that is left to enter Goa, not only is it scenic but it has plenty of twisties with smooth tarmac all the way. The day was devoid of rain which was welcome due to heavy rain the day before in Pune with cyclone warnings et al (IMD sucks)! The highway was busy with the exodus of cars and bikes from Mumbai & Pune heading to Goa. On Chorla ghat I passed around 10 bikes (Triumphs and Ninja's)who were also riding to Goa. These guys a little later had pulled over at a restaurant for a bite to eat, when I was hailed down as I entered Goa by some women in a car. They asked me if I saw some bikes, like mine, to which I replied in the affirmative, when one of the girls began to tell me they were waiting for their menfolk for the last 2 hours. I spent about half-an-hour trying to soothe their frayed tempers and thinking to myself - boys will be boys. Ha!
I reached Goa at 4pm and after meeting my friend Craig who recently picked up a Honda Africa V Twin proceeded to my hotel Avozin at Candolim. I stayed there for 2 nights. Goa was packed solid with traffic jams that took 1 hour 30 min to travel from Candolim to Baga a stretch of 5 km. The locals mentioned that they were unprepared and had never seen so many people except for times during the Sunburn festival and New Year's. I headed back to Pune on Sat 4th Oct to reach home at 4pm. On the way I met some friends at Wai who were returning from Dapoli, so I rode the last stretch home amidst the company of a Suzuki V Storm and KTM390. My round trip was 985km.
On Sunday 5th Oct, Gurpratap and I rode to Amby Valley which was lovely and were back by 11.30am to see the F1 Japanese Grand Prix live.Ride To Live

Re: Day Rides
This set of pictures is from today morning's ride to Wai. The weather was cool at 7am with a hint of winter setting in and made for good conditions to ride. We made a quick spin as we wanted to be back by 10am to see the Japanese MotoGP. We caught up with some bikers who made a pit stop at the customary stall before the Wai ghat.Ride To Live

Re: Day Rides
This set of pictures was from today morning's ride to Lavasa. Being election day in Maharashtra, the hills were devoid of traffic and for the most part it seemed like we were the only two bikes out for a ride. We were accompanied by our wives who thoroughly enjoyed the ride and especially the breakfast at The All-American-Diner which is situated at the Waterfront Shaw hotel on the promenade. After a leisurely breakfast we rode back to Pune amidst unusually hot weather.Ride To Live

Re: Day Rides
This set of pictures is from last weekends quick ride to Goa (yes, again). Gurpratap and I left on Sat 18th Oct beginning our ride at 6am from Pune and made tracks for Belgaum. At Nipani we stopped for a bite to eat and caught up with a rider testing the "Mojo". The bike has a comfortable stance but I dont have an opinion on the vibration being a single cylinder 300cc motor which seems to be underpowered at 27hp. The fantastic Karnataka stretch saw both bikes near their top speeds as a result we ended up overshooting Belgaum on the AH47. We lost 40 minutes negotiating our way to familiar roads in Belgaum and reached what we were waiting for - Chorla ghat. This is truly a stretch of bikers paradise. We reached our destination around 3.30pm at Candolim and stayed once again at Avozin. After a little shopping and chilling out we had an early dinner at "House of Lloyds." We began our ride back to Pune the next morning beginning at 6am, taking the same route and reached home 2pm. We had clocked 980km on a round trip.Ride To Live
