Hello everyone,
I rode to Kashmir and Ladakh from Delhi and back in August 2014 along with my friend. Although I am kind of late to post about this trip I took last year, I feel it would be great to motivate potential riders this year with some pictures and few experiences. As for me, I am an average biker living in Bangalore. I didn't even know how to ride a bike until I bought one two years back
, so if I can do a road trip to Ladakh, anyone can. With proper preparation of course!
Brief itinerary:
I shall divide the journey into the following sections and post accordingly:
1. Delhi to Srinagar
2. Srinagar-Gulmarg-Dal Lake
3. Srinagar to Leh via Kargil
4. Leh, Leh Palace, Khardung-La
5. Leh to Pangong Tso and back
6. Leh to Sarchu
7. Sarchu to Manali
8. Manali to Delhi via Chandigarh
Total kms: 3350
No. of days: 14
Bikes: Pulsar 200NS and Yamaha FZ-16
