• A short escape for a weekend.

    Hi Fellow readers,
    (a brief introduction)
First of all I would like to thank Xbhp for serving a forum giving an opportunity to bikers of all genre to share their story, their know how, their ways.

I write this travelogue to share my experience about the recent weekend trip I took to a small village named Dubia on the outskirts of a small district name Chittranajan.

Hailing from Kolkata, it had been a really long time that I took a break from the humdrum of daily schedule.
    The day of ride-11-may-2015.
I had lesser than the usual time to prepare for the trip, though I cross checked tyres, rims, Carb, airfilter, Chain slackness, headlights Battery, Horn, Indicators.
Many thanks to akshatajeya for coming down on the day his exams and lending me his toolkit, Wd40, powerbank and everything else that deemed necessary.

    7.00am 11may-15
Started off a little late from 7 am in the morning and continued on the cold asphalt of NH2
where mother Nature took me upon its lap and bore a cloudy weather which aided folds to my riding comfort.

By 8.45 am in the morning I reached my first riding pitstop. Sat Deul temple.
A temple which is atleast a millennium old.
A hidden monument from the outside interference.
Within a 100 kms reach from our own city Kolkata, only a handful knew about the significance of this place.

Route itinerary- This spot secludes itself from the main highway NH2 and one has to pass a village to reach the spot. It is located in a small village called Masagram,16 kms from Burdwan and approximately 80 kms from Kolkata.

I halted here for a brief interval and then proceeded towards Maithan Water Reservoir, my second pit stop.
(In my previous travelogue I had mentioned about this place so will brief my recounts about this place though will share one
    picture that i captured
    )

A coke and a packet of chips was my late brunch in this serene, green which held a significant placein my memory.
this place si round about 232 ms from Kolkata, afew kms after Asansol on NH2.

I will share the rest of the travelogue once it gets approved

        Hi Monk,
Thank you for approving the travelogue.
I was trying to decrease the span of view sight, so inserted the text in a table format with 700 as the width.
It was a small experiment though the photographs took a beating I guess :P .
another example of the same format I first used was here

for inserting image I used tinypic.url directly from the insert image option. I guess that is why the pictures came out very small.

            Nice start Anand.
Please bring on the full log with bigger pictures! You have explored a relatively unknown place.

Seems to be a interesting part of bengal. Bring the rest of story and pictures, and yes post the pictures full sized not framed.
