Hi, I am Abhishek Dwivedi and this is my first travelogue.
I came across a blog about the best places ride in our country and I was drawn to the beautiful old silk route there.
I went there in October 2014 but somehow, haven't been able to post it here.
I'll keep it short and let pictures do all the talking
I started from my house in Dhanbad, Jharkhand at 6 AM and by 6:30 PM, I had reached Siliguri via Deoghar-Purnea-Kishanganj route. It was the first time I had ridden 500+ kms Solo in a day. I picked up my friend Saurabh the next morning from Siliguri and we left for Gangtok. Spent the next day in Gangtok to get permit and then we explored east Sikkim for the next two days.
Reached the hotel in Gangtok. Saurabh spent the rest of his touring days eating ONLY Momos.
That big boundary down there is of Sikkim Jail.
