As morning winter cold was trying to get past my thermal liners and chill me to the bones, I was on my way to meet up with my brothers from xBhp Kolkata. This time I was not alone, I have decided to bring two new faces to the group and introduce them to the brotherhood.
We met up at the breakfast point and after some needed hot tea and food, we rolled out towards our destination - Ayodhya hills.
The route took us through all types of roads - NH2 highway, State Highway and ofcourse local "kachha rasta". The exhilarating experience of riding in a large group placed wide smiles on our faces. And we all reached the campsite at the foot of Ayodhya hills blissed out to the maximum.
After a late lunch and some roaming around on our bikes with selfie sticks we returned to the campsite covered in dust but very pleased with ourselves. It was time for the night entertainment, dinner and camping under the stars. Portable JBLs, some firewood and good company ran the evening well into the night. We didn't even realise that it was way past midnight when we hit the sack.
Morning activity started with engine warming and preparation for more roaming in the hills. It was a great morning, we rode in large group up and down the winding mountain roads, stopping to soak up the warmth of the sun and enjoy the scenery.
When it was time to pack up the camp and leave the scenic hills, we discovered that one of the Pulsars that came along had an electrical malfunction and would not start. It was time for my companion to shine, he is a motorcycle mechanic as well as die hard Suzuki fan. In just a few moves he discovered the problem and fixed it. Yamin got a loud round of applause when the engine turned over and started, it was a great idea to bring a mechanic along on this trip!
The return was just as glorious and exhilarating, however we were a little bit sad to leave this beautiful place behind. But we will return someday, that's a promise.
Getting home well past midnight, with many kilometres on the ODO but even more happy memories and such a wonderful experience. This was the best Christmas present I could ever give myself. I am glad that I could share it with my brothers from xBhp Kolkata and introduce two more people to this wonderful feeling of xBhpian brotherhood.
Ride safe, and keep the rubber in contact with the road.
