      Binoy, In my city not even riders wear helmets (forget about pillions). Police also do not bother to fine those who are not wearing them. May be because the city has very less traffic. But your safety is your own hands. I personally always wear at least a full face helmet even when I go to the local shop. My friends laugh at me when they see me wearing armored gloves, knee guards and elbow guards. But who cares?? Safety never hurts but wounds do. Why take chance?

        even in Jabalpur no one bothers to get one helmet,
        neither rider nor pillion,
        even i hate to wear a lid previously but After joining Xbhp (before crash)
        I started wearing it,
        and I knew its advantage when met an accident where I was almost near to death.

          It was sad to see many in your group w'out helmets, leave aside other stuffs. I agree with Jonak.... helmets & protective gear should not be worn only when madatory by law. Its for our safety which is paramount..... I wear a helmet every time I ride, everytime.
          Anyways its never too late to follow right things.... all the best !!

              I know a guy who was in koma for couple of days due to a bike accident. He has gone plastic surgery several times just to get reconstruct his face. He has 18 plates in his body. Still when does not wear a helmet. It's all about attitude and excuses. Just watch that video.

                  Thanks Guys for all the comments and suggestions...


                  I am planning to go for a trip tomorrow(May 1st) with friends from

                  Trivandum-kozhikode ~= 500kms.

                  The trip starts from trivandrum at early morning (2:00 am) and will probably reach kozhikode at (10:00am-12:00am)... spend time in kozhikode(my friend's house) and on may 2nd early the journey continues to thrissur(my home)... from there to athrappilli-vazhachal(waterfall... really a nice place to see)...
                  and in evening returns home...

                  On May 3rd we will watch the greatest festival on earth(Thrissur pooram)... May 4th early morning returns Trivandrum...

                  Total of 1500kms...
                  Pics and info will be updated...


                  @All : Guys in one thing i am little concerned coz... me bought my FZ two and half months before and had already done 4500+kms... Will there be any probs in the long drives for the bike???
