Thanks Saaki....
@UVW abhishek I didnt face any problem with the Avenger. I have 180 and it performed nicely. Just be gentle while off-roading, you migth hurt the front suspension, as may happen to any motorcycle I believe. The grip provided by the rear came in handy at certain icey and muddy places...Power loss was but of course an issue at heights but otherwise everything was normal.
@abhishek I just carried Cramster saddlebags.bike was acc free otherwise. Of course spares were there

the route is Narkanda-Rampur-Jeori-Sarahan.
Narkanda to Rampur is 60kms(aprox)
Rampur to Jeori is 12-15 kms(aprox again)
Jeori to Sarahan is 17 kms(exactly)
why do u wish to detour and go to Sarahan..???
Sarahan to Chitkul??? are u sure that,s just 60kms??? anyways, that again is a Detour??? u sure u want to go off the track too much? Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Is there a route to Narkanda to Manali through Jalori. I think that was the one Hitanshu was mentioning. Whats the speciality of that route ?

I did this route last week. Narkanda to Jalori is approximately 90 km. Currently its dry but very beautiful and not a soul in sight except for the occasional mahindra. The descent from Jalori is crazy ( i was with my wife in pillion) but after that the valley is very beautiful with a little river running along the roadOriginally posted by Rockkyyy View PostThanks for the Info. Through Aut the road finally joins at the entrance of the Kullu tunnel.
