Route:
Day1: BLR-Thrissur(via Salem-Coimbatore-Palakkad) (500Kms)
Day2: Thrissur - Palakkad - Mannarkad - Mulli - Manjoor - Bikketti - Modern Stores - Gudalur - Mysore - Bangalore (575Kms)

This was an entirely unplanned ride, My wife was visiting her parents and i was not so sure about accompanying her, She had already booked tickets for train for friday evening and in a sudden change of mind i was ready to tag along in train. But fate has its way as i couldnt book tatkal tickets for same train. So what next? I open google maps on friday night, pan out a rough plan and sat morning by 3:30 i hit the road just to meet her!!

The next day i had to leave as cant take leaves, And when you are riding solo there are lots of options for the route that you can take.
Started from Thrissur at around 7:30 AM after a nice long sleep. Thrissur to Palakkad is a scenic ride in early morning. Decided to go towards Mannarkad as the map was showing a lot of good curves.
Road from Thrissur to Mannarkad was bliss to ride with occasional traffic coming along. After reaching Mannarkad decided to move towards Silent Valley National Park but came to know that two-wheelers are not allowed so avoided going and proceeded further to Mulli

After reaching Mulli a through check was done by the rangers at the Kerala-TN border before entering the RF stretch which takes to Manjoor-Ooty. They checked DL and RC and duly noted all details, When asked why they told due to maoist activities in the area they are routinely checking. After 3 rounds of check(2 more on TN side) Proceeded on to Mulli-Manjoor road. The road is not so well laid with all sorts of potholes but once you reach at top the view is worth it.

Finally return to Bangalore was delayed heavily due to rains and heavy traffic jam near Channapatna.
Was a great short ride which i was craving since past few months.
