Is that an eye of dog? At first mistook it for a horse! Nice photograph. And nice shot of the FZ under the Gulmohars again. Should try some shadow highlights on that one.

Nice report of the FZ.

Calling it offroading will be an understatement. You guys actually made those bike 'trek' their way through. Wasnt the Comet taken in this 'up hill task"? may use these pics in the cc-torque-power thread to drive the point home
BTW, I am curious to know why you guys have avoided helmets during that rocky ride? hampered feild of view? Knowing what I know about the riders I wouldn't imagine you guys doing it without a helmet (atleast).

Also, the tyres... the round profile tyres don;t find so much grip on the rocky terrain. I see that as one more good reason to leave behind the FZ though it is light and torquey.

Carrying a helmet while going for a trekk is not a good idea,so purposefully avoided it and kept in room itself. As far as safety is concerned , I dont think we need a helmet when we ride in 10-20's in a remote place like this.
Also its not that comfortable when you struggle to ride in such places. U have to keep ur head down most of the time to see what the next rock.
If we were doing mountain climb (), yes we would have taken
.
A fall from bike would have been more or like a fall while trekking.
Infact we were not aware of the offroad itself unless we reached there.
FZ was new and was a friends bike so didnt want to take a chance.Last edited by Rockkyyy; 05-19-2009, 12:58 PM.

no dude, I didnt take the comet. As my wife was staying alone in the room, I parked my bike outside so that it leaves a feel that she is not alone. And it really worked, when she went for breakfast, the guy asked her, if she needs something to be parceled for the other 2 guys in the house. :P
FZ - Rahul was not happy with the ground clearance I guess..Last edited by prabhubravo; 05-19-2009, 01:20 PM.

I scrapped while taking the corners few times. If the road is little bumpy, the corners are little scary because of this but again this did not reduce my confidence in taking the corners__________________

Brilliant pics and nice ride guys.
Vinal: Was this your first ride after marriage? How did it feel?
Prabhu: Escaped for a ride eh. Good, good. My back still healing, using public transport and sometimes car to work.
Hey, what chain spray is that? I got a chain spray, indian made for 300 bux, that guy did not have any known brands and I needed one real bad. The problem is, the liquid is way way tooo sticky, its almost like an adhesive. Its a black tin. Is it ok to use this?
