Thus, I am digging up this old log of mine which i have also posted in another forum. This was my chitkul ride last november (or was it December! I cant recall). Rahul, and a friend of his(Maggi) were my companions for this ride.
This log has been written by Rahul and edited. Simply and honestly because I was too lazy to write and Rahul had always wanted to compose a travelogue of his own

The photos are courtesy me and Maggi.
Riders:

This is a journey with a different twist & taste. A drive for fun, for friendship and a test of our motorbikes & human endurance. It was a Saturday & Vaibhav called me & told that he would be leaving for Chitkul
Well, I sorted out the things. I said fine we will go for the ride but on Thursday I would leave as Margrate (my friend from Ireland) was joining me for her 1st ride on Motorbikes to the Himalayas. Vaibhav said I will join u guys on Saturday morning at Sarahan. I was bamboozled but I had no doubts on his friendship & driving capability.
Day 1

Day2
It was a bright sunny morning with cool breeze blowing. Maggi said she always wanted to visit Shimla & I knew what was on her mind. She wanted to do local sightseeing of Shimla. So took my Motorbike & parked it near the lift. Below a view of Shimla from lift, where I parked my motorbike.

J . Then took a walk on the mall & head out to St. Vincentregal Lodge or commonly known as Advance studies. Maggi bought a handful of pastries for us which we enjoyed thoroughly. Below is town Council Hall on Mall Road.

Cool breeze was blowing & Maggi told me that Shimla is like Scandinavian Country (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) due to the architecture &weather. We talked about lot of things & reached Advance Studies in few minutes. I love Advance studies, because as soon as you reach this place it seems you r in UK. Maggi told me she feels like home. Most of the ancient buildings in Ireland are the same; reason being British ruled Ireland for 800 years. Below a Photo of Advance Studies.

Started heading off towards Kufri & at Dali I got my back breaks tight. Enquired about the road conditions ahead & a mechanic told me, road is as smooth as the cheeks of the angreezi
It was 5:30 pm when we left Narkanda & it was already dark, I hate driving in dark as I wear glasses & incoming light rays make me blind L but I had no other option I had to reach Sarahan. So I started off & I was driving crazy & Rampur was my next destination, 67 kms from Narkanda. Reached Rampur @ 7:15pm & stopped near a waterfall, had fag & a butt break. Maggi was tired but I knew she was a lady with a strong will power and told me that we have to reach Sarahan. On our way we saw a temple, really beautiful & decided to thank god for safe journey & so we both dropped in.

Ass****, I said.
Then continued my drive , I could hear the noise being made by the river Sutluj & reached a point where 2 roads were going, 1 up & 1 down. I choose the upward one & ended up in front of a temple & 2 policemen came & asked about my identity. I showed them my identity cards & papers of the motorbike & they told me to follow the lower road to reach to Jeori. Reached Jeori at 10:15 pm & called back home. Now Sarahan was 17 kms more & I was thrilled. It was 10:30 & started off the drive but it was getting bitterly cold. I did not have gloves L thus my hands were frozen. Just 5 kms before Sarahan, I stopped & put my hands on the burning silencer of the bike. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh what warmth I felt J. Rubbed my hands & zoomed off .
JChalo, Chandigarh sae bahar to nikalJ
Changed the cloths & again came White rum :P this time Maggi was making big pegs, too strong but she knew I was feeling cold & rum had its instant aasar. Ahhhhh Haan kutte , Theog tak ka meter kheench dia hai , bus aata hu tere pass kuch hi ghanto maeJ or sutta bhi nahi maar pa raha. Catch u soon
Day 3
Saala na khud soota hai, naa mere ko soo ne daeta haikat gaya bhai LNavy CutL or what if someone takes away the bike when its parked here.
Somehow I managed to convince Vaibhav that we should have some sleep. Vaibhav was tried, his helmet was banging against mine helmet from behind as he was sleepy. Reached room @ 6:30 am & dozed off. Had a peaceful nap & woke up @ 9am. It was a lovely view from my hotel balcony. Have a look below.

Yaar bus chalo yaha sae, bike theek kar wani haidarshan of the goddess.

After having the darshan, Maggi boarded the bus to Jeori & we were on our way to catch the bike. At last Vaibhav had the chance to see his babe & it was safe. He smiled & then we moved to Jeori. Found a mechanic & got the repair done. Thank god it was the missing bolt only JArre raste mae bahut petrol pump hai, tension nahi, bus aab Sangla pahuchna hai

The roads are good, but narrow at some points. Traffic is not much, so motorcycling is quite enjoyable here.

After riding few kms, we reached the welcome gate of the Kinnaur. Now I was excited covering another part of Himachal Pardesh J

Kinnaur stood to its reputation, narrow & dangerous road, falling rocks, panoramic view of the Himalayas. In short feeling is indescribable. Check out few photos below.

At one point we reached a place where we had a small mountain overhead. Ohhhh I thought it is cool place to have pic, so honked Vaibhav to come back & have photo taken & Maggi clicked us J

Yadav bhai, 1 galati ho gai Lwazz the way out? ok, you go & we rest here. If u don find us here think we have left for Sangla
Some Pics

I love Indian weddings, they are so lavishbechara bakkra .

Well in few minutes we reached Sangla, it was 4 pm & it was getting dark. So it was snack time. Dropped in a Tibetan restro & had hot momos :P yum yum J & chai off course. Called vaibhav & he told me he was on his way & asked me to search for a decent guest house. So I & Maggi drove off searching for guest house & clicking some beautiful pictures. Few of them are below.

Bhai, bhuk lagi, phale khanae dae uss ko bad dekhtae haiChitkulLJ hahahaha
Vaibhav & me searched for a liquor shop & got rum: P & while Maggi shopped for a cap. While talking & shopping it was sunset time & it was a Magical sunset.

EXCUSEDChitkul & then Chitkul to Chandigarh in 1 day.
Day 4
Somehow got some sleep & woke up in 7am in the morning & that too when Maggi came rushing in. Wake up guys. We have a long trip ahead, seemed as the drive had her mind gripped all night. Lol. Well it was 8 am when we left for Chitkul, still cold & breezy. I was happy that I bought the gloves & we were cruising at nice speed. Awesome views of Sangla Valley.

Road to Chitkul is narrow but good, you can cruise @ 50kmph. The views were awesome, basking sun with cool breeze, awwwwwwww the feeling is inexpressible. Few photos at Chitkul.

Finally we saw the board which welcomes you to Chitkul, so finally captured one more destination. Last Indian village near the China Border.
