Read through the log thrice&finally managed to see the pics last night. Amazing photography Ken Da!
I also admire Moon Di for her tenacity to take such long trips on the One-I wouldn't wanna do that after looking at the position of the footrest!
Please keep writing&inspiring young bikers like me.
P.S. Please don't call yourself an old fart anymore. No one will say that after looking at your recent pics.
    Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Thanks Sarvajit! I will convey your admiration to Moon.

And I do not call myself an old fart. I am only 19 years old!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

              Oh boy...

Posting here after a looooong time!

No, it is not really backbreaking. But it is not easy either. You keep the throttle open! And the acceleration helps to relax your back.

The first time I noticed the picture of the front I went, woah, they look gone. And then you mentioned that. Must be heart breaking to feel the front going away in the twisties. The road to abu is genuinely good.

And all respect to the pillion, it is a tough task to be at the back and be cool,so to say. And to do so over that long a distance genuinely deserves a hats off to you gesture. or helmets off.

And i could not agree with you more about the lack of skills and the casual attitude with which people drive on the highways. Am not talking about state highways. They are just playing russian roulette with death. I went for a gurgaon to goa via bangalore round trip this Feb. And hand on heart the rajasthan registered truck drivers were the worst of the lot. By the end of it if i saw any truck with RJ number plate i just backed off, till the time there was enough space for a Jumbo to get through. The haryana ones aren't any better. The TN and KL were really slow.

And i felt the road from Pune to Bangalore is probably the best road i have ridden in the country. Nice tarmac, behaved truck drivers and after satara hardly any traffic.

Every day i read about the Delhi Traffic police going mad after people who drive at 100-120, but it is a fact that stupidity kills more than the speed. Not to mention these mad max truck drivers who are always just one turn away from snuffing life out of someone.

Above all i think your write up proves that a superbike is usable. At least in the golden period of september to march.
