Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                    1) Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai on Honda Activa. My life's first ever long ride. KMs: 1525 Kms. (Odo start: 7565, Odo end: 9089) This was a ride to my home town Goa. A 5 day ride during x-mas.

                    2) Certified solo IBA SaddleSore ride. Mumbai - Tumkur - Mumbai. ~1700 Kms in 22 hours 55 minutes. Plan was to do SaddleSore 2000 but unforeseen incidences forced me to shorten the ride to SaddleSore 1600.

                    3) Mumbai - Ambur(near Chennai) - Mumbai. 2500+ Kms in almost 3 days. This was during a failed IBA Bunburner attempt prior to my solo Saddle Sore ride. spiderweb and darkknight were also a part of this ride.

                    4) Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai. Approximately 1500 Kms round trip. Twice every year since last 7 years. Mostly a solo ride. Ever since I rode to Goa on my Activa I have fallen in Love with NH17 and do make it a point to visit my native place at least twice a year on my bike. Planning yo visit again coming September.

                    5) Mumbai - Hedvi - Mumbai. A solo 800+ Kms in 15 hours. Visit to a virgin(not anymore ) beach.

                    6) Plenty of rides in the range of 500 - 1500 kms. Most of them are listed in tourer section and on my blog.(link in signature).

My longest ride on bike was of total 1000 Kms.
It was more of a trip than a ride during those amateurish(as a biker ) days.
During this trip, I covered 355 Kms distance from Ganpatipule To Mumbai in one day.
We were riding Yamaha YBX & Bajaj Platina then.
                        It took us 8 hours.

Now planning to finish Bangalore - Mumbai (1000 Kms) in 16 hours on my Karizma.
Lets see, when (at least) give a try to it.

I have done four long rides on bike so far -
                            1. Mumbai - Goa via Amboli Ghats in August 2008 with Spidy, Razor and Shiva, on Saturday
                            2. Goa - Mumbai via NH 17, on Sunday, alone
                            3 Mumbai - Hyderabad, alone
                            4 Hyderabad - Mumbai, with a pillion

Riding with pillion is such a pain in ---.
