Hmm,
Max distance in a trip?
I have done a trip is 2500kms from Trivandrum - 220 -Cochin - 550- Banglore - 420 Dharward - 430 -Pune - Hampi - Banglore then back to trivandrum by bus. I did it on my CBZ for the Chakan Plant visit on November 15th 2003 with the Bajaj Pulsar/bikenomads group. I started on Tuesday 11th evening and came back on Monday 17th November. I had a friend Sojish, on a Fiero.

I think the longest distance I did is Banglore - hyderabad in February this year. we started at about 5.30am and reached Hyderabad at 3pm (with very long breaks in between). I was on my Karizma this time .

me did 1000 kms in 5 days ((((not a gr8 job in front of some real hard riders, like ARPAN and some others too..)))) when i bought my fiero in april 2000 (sold off in dec 2000), lol...

din't ride that much after that on my pulsar.. daily approx 40-45 kms..not a gr8 deal. {planning to go to mumbai- pune in this nov-dec}

640 kms in a day.. Baroda to Pune 14th Nov 2003 chakan meet.. 7 am baroda... 9:30 pm Pune.

640 kms back ... Pune to Baroda 16th Nov 2003 chakan meet.. 10:30 am Pune ... 2 am Baroda

Maximum km in a trip- Ard 5000km in 15 days. Bangalore-Pune-Delhi-Manali-Leh (in and around too)- Srinagar-Jammu.

879km - Bangalore-Pune(Hadapsar) in a day - 16hrs on ZMA with enough breaks
806 km- Arkansas-Dallas with a pillion in a Day, on a FZ6 in 13.5 hrs with enough breaks

well, did greater noida to narkanda on my r15.. 480 kms.. having stops at kurushetra, chandigarh, solan and shimla.. started early morning, reached narkanda by late afternoon..

did b'lore to pondicherry via chennai.. on m karizma about 2.5 years back.. about 500 kms, reached by evening..

'Longest ride', as in time or distance?

I did a Manipal-Chennai ride (770 Km) over 2 days:
Day 1 -> 460Km in 12 hours (6 AM to 6 PM), winding ghat roads and too many petroleum tankers to overtake. Sore butt.
Day 2 -> 310 Km in 5 hours (2 PM- 7 PM) on a flat 6-lane highway stretch.

The only reason I stopped riding on day 2 was because i had reached home! Else I was good to go for more on day 2...

My point is, on great roads, you might cover great distances (as with my day 2) in lesser time. Folks riding through hill-sections or bad roads may spend more time on-road and cover lesser distances.

My call is, we should measure 'long rides' by the time spent on the road...

BIKE : ZMA-R 2007

1) Mumbai-Bangalore : 12 hrs., 990 kms. (can be done in 10 hrs if SOLO!)
Mumbai-Bangalore-Chennai : 1300 kms., 23 hrs approx.
Mumbai-Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore-Mumbai : 2600+ kms., 2.5 days approx.
(with Darkknight & Ketan_r15)
*Its all part of a single ride. This was a failed Bun Burner attempt in Dec 2009.

2)Delhi-Udaipur-Mumbai : 1468 kms., 40 hrs. (including oil change & clutchplate replacement at jaipur) (with multiple riders)

3)Mumbai-Amritsar-Srinagar-Leh-Manali-Mumbai : 7000+ kms., almost 28 days.
(with Motorbreath & Alankarmisra)

4)Mumbai-Nagpur : 1048 kms., flat 14 hrs. SOLO!

5)Mumbai-Mt.Abu : 850 kms., flat 20 hrs.
(with Cosgeo, Shiva_zma & Winzee)

6)Goa-Mumbai : 650 kms., flat 10 hrs. (last 220 kms SOLO)
(with razorBlades & shiva_zma)

Longest Ride to Leh... right from Mumbai.

Mumbai-Udaipur-Delhi-Ludhiana-via Amritsar-Pathankot-Srinagar-Kargil-Leh (Khardungla + Pangong)-Rumtse-Jispa-Manali-Roopar-Delhi-Udaipur-Mumbai

TTL : arnd 6000 kms odd.

800 odd kms from Mumbai to Udaipur in 1 day.
