Hey buddy, I feel nostalgiac reading this thread again man.
Lets plan for the next ADVENTURE TRIP. I am not saying just biking on our bike, but a trip that would involve trekking, biking and some adventures.
Perhaps we can start exploring the whole of Meghalaya and complete this objective within 2010. What do you say? Shall we?

We can start shortlisting all the adventurous locations around Meghalaya starting with East Khasi Hills first and then move out the rest.

Oops looks like m getting too excited. hehehe

          Route Map?

Can I have a few clarifications, please?

          - Did you reach Williamnagar via Paikan, Tura & Baghmara, or is there a direct route from Tura?

          - Where are the hotel, petrol pumps and other facilities? Tura, Baghmara & Williamnagar?

          - Are there safety issues on this route?

          - Is this road all-weather road navigable throughout the year?

          - Any river crossings, or ferry points, without bridges?

            Clarification....

            Hi hvkumar!

Here is the clarification you sought for, point by point!

Can I have a few clarifications, please?

            - Did you reach Williamnagar via Paikan, Tura & Baghmara, or is there a direct route from Tura?

Williamnagar was reached via Paikan. Tura falls in another route, while Baghmara can be reached via Williamnagar.

            - Where are the hotel, petrol pumps and other facilities? Tura, Baghmara & Williamnagar?

There are very few hotels at Tura, Williamnagar & Baghmara, tho Guest house facility can be availed at the above locations on payment of a nominal rate.

            - Are there safety issues on this route?

There are no safety issues at present, tho travelling at night would not be advisable.

            - Is this road all-weather road navigable throughout the year?

The roads to all the above places are all-weather road and navigable throughout the year, tho the Williamnagar - Baghmara road is a bit on a broken tarmac side.

            - Any river crossings, or ferry points, without bridges?

No, there are no river crossings/ferry points without bridges.

Hope, this would be helpful to you. Btw, if you plan on any trip to the above locations, feel free to contact me or Devilboy. We will be more than willing to help or maybe even join in with you.

            With regards,

              Thanks for the guidance, Dragon.
Maps are so horribly wrong, and if you trace the route you took on any map, you will go bonkers.
I would definitely like to do the loop sometime!
