Inder, Those waterfalls are very wide, Almost 80-100 mts and as tall as 45mts. To fill those rocks with water, We need floods. , This picture will give you proper idea, This is just 50% of width of the waterfall.

@Sarvajit:Sorry to hijack your thread. Our log is still under compilation.

Now, this looks a little apt for a waterfall pic..!!

When did you guyz returned from the falls??
We were racing with time to reach Kamareddi from Nirmal before it gets dark and touch awesome 4-Lane NH7.
We covered those 100kms (Nirmal -> Kamareddi) in less than 90mins.

We went to Pochampad Dam on the way, so reached the falls by the time you guys had left.
Left from there by about 6 (after having late lunch). It was mostly a night ride back&we reached the 4 lane by 10 p.m.

We had planned this trip a couple of months back, but were waiting for the monsoons to arrive. Now that we had received a few showers, we thought of doing the ride.
The list of riders were as follows:
                            1. Cheedhu on TBTS
                            2. Amarnath on Avy 200
                            3. Chandru on P180 UG3
                            4. Arun as pillion on P180
                            5. Sarvajit on R15

After having slept for about 4 hours, I was woken up by Chandru at 5:15. I got ready&was really excited, as this was the first time I would be trying out the Cramster pants&Twist touring gloves on my longest ride ever.
No need for fuel, I had just tanked up a day before. Had also put on the plain visor on my Vega, as I knew I would be riding back in the dark. I picked up my bag which I had packed the previous night with the following:
                            • Puncture repair kit
                            • Raincoat.
                            • Swimming trunks
                            • Towel
                            • Water bottle
                            • Cloth for cleaning visor.
Reset my odo&started. Reached the meeting point, same Axis Bank ATM at Medchal crossroads, to find Cheedhu there with his newly purchased A Stars riding suit.

Just then there was a call from Satish, saying the other group of riders were moving on&would meet us later.
Satish had gone to see them off&came to see us off too. Unfortunately he could not make it due to his office.

Next stop was APTDC Hotel Haritha at Kamareddi, about 100kms.from starting point. After having South Indian breakfast, we moved on.
From here onwards, the road soon tapered out into a 2 lane&our speed came down.

After Nirmal, there was a small ghat section too, but we could not speed up here as the road condition was bad.
After that, Neredikonda, a small village was the detour point towards Kuntala Waterfalls. Before this, there was a small section of 4 lane&I started ripping, knowing that the others would catch up when I stopped. I then found a huge board saying Pochampad Dam, 2 kms.on the left side. I stopped&both Chandru&Amar saw me&stopped too. Cheedhu was in a ripping mood&zoomed straight off. He did not even respond to our calls, so we decided to meet him directly at Kuntala.
Pochampad Dam gates were not open, but we could still take our bikes upto the road on the dam&enjoy the beautiful view from there.
We spent sometime there&then started off, as we knew Cheedhu would reach Kuntala early&keep waiting for us.
There were many under work patches here, so again the speed was a bit less.

Though we were hungry, we decided to finish off with the falls&then think of lunch.
By this time, the sun had come out&the heat was getting to us. To add to it, there were 408 steps to get down. While getting down, we knew we were in for it on our way back!
Got down the steps, drenched completely in sweat. Some people were praying at the Shiva temple.
As soon as I saw the waterfall, I threw off all my riding gear&changed into my swimming trunks. Amar did the same. Cheedhu had shorts&the brothers (Chandru&Arun) pulled up their pants&we got under the water. It was a heavenly feeling after the sweltering heat.
We ended up spending a really long time at the falls&climbing up took us longer than we imagined. Cheedhu needed some rest time too, as he was not feeling very well.
We now understood why the other group of riders was hardly talking when we met them at the entrance. They were leaving then!

After this signaled each other&stopped at Armur Town as it was getting dark&no one could see anything properly because of the dust&bugs on their visors!
After the visor cleaning everyone felt much better. I was blessing the Vega high end visor. It was so good, I literally felt as though it were a car windshield, or even better!
So slowly we made our way back to the 4 lane highway&once we reached there, it was non-stop to city limits. Had a last stop at Medchal to say our Byes.
We were already planning our next ride. This one proved that we can do over 500km.in a day, so why not go to Pune/Bangalore next time!
                            Quench my thirst with gasoline!
