Congrats on your first 500Km-in-a-day bike trip. Yes it can be done like you have seen and proved it to yourself. Nice falls there. 408 steps must have been tiring. More tiring than the bike ride for sure. The next day must have left your things and calves aching.

Wishing you many more such long distance rides in the future.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Thanks Dada. My odo showed me 540.3 km. when I returned home. I thought to myself: 10 more kms.&I would have reached Bangalore!
I did have pain in my left calf, which was due to my keeping my foot under the gear shifter.

It was very humid there&everyone was struggling. The way down was easy, but the way back up was a torture. We were just waiting to get back onto the bikes&feel the cool breeze!

Thanks, I inaugurated the pants&Twist touring gloves on this ride. They are way more comfy than knee protectors.

There was no rain for us, even though the other group faced some on theur return journey. I was prepared for it with my Cramster raincoat. Pants&boots anyways waterproof.
Only one bike niggle was Amar's Avy's mudguard. We didn't wanna remove it- if it rained it would spray him with mud, so we used brute force to bend it so that it didn't touch the tyre.
I am getting some emergency spares like cables, spark, bulbs etc.&will start learning some DIYs too. It is a must on touring.
