Lovely ride and ride report Ken. The part about you and Manan in the corners was the highlight for me.

The One looking good.. even in slush and muck What made me really happy was the rounded wear on the rear tyre. It feels really satisfying to wear the edges off the tyre for a change. Looks like you've gone in for the full soft PP again? Or are these the 2CTs?

And nothing to beat these machines in the hills or canyons. Oh except maybe Manan on his RTR?

@Manan: Come down to the tracks man. From what has been described here, you would love it.

Waiting for the rest of the log.

I have a rear dual C 2CT and a front Sport! Really enjoyed them. What was interesting to note was that there was rounded off wear on the rear whereas I had a lot of space to go round on the fronts. Whereas I know, given the road conditions and the traffic, more often than not, on some corners I was a few cms from "touching base" on certain left-handers! Does that mean that the Sports up front are designed like that, it can withstand wear much lower down, or am I doing something wrong?

As for Manan, apparently he has already been on track!

I could see the same kind of adrenaline rush in manan which i norticed when we went to that GurGaon Faridabad link road..

Some day when you have the time and patience to read, you can read through nearly 2500 words in two logs that I have posted. You may get your answers.

Ken Da just saw the video and yeah Manan rode excellent, I could see you trying to catch him at every corner but he used to go zoom I think RTR180 really has done there homework well... and yeah I also heard the Word at 6:47sec. in your video was it coz the truck came in front or coz Manan again zoomed off Excellent ride you all had....

Eagerly waiting for more including the directions for Kharapathar

The directions are there in the 2nd log wherein I put in the link of Google Maps.

If you heard the "F" word, you heard it right. Yes, it is because of the truck. It was an outright dangerous move by him. Later Nitin and I both had a word with him about cautiousness!

Yes, he was fast for sure, outrunning locals even. The return was yet another story altogether!

Yeah there are many places where even I felt that it wasnt needed. Good that you both had him in control...thats what experienced and seniors riders are for guidance and advice before things go wrong

Yup, the 2CT has a slightly different profile. What are you running on in the rear anyway? 190/55 or 50? I'm getting myself a new rear tyre in a week or so. Will be going the 2CT way myself.

Loved the video. Couldn't see the coolant temperatures though. Was interested to see what temps the R1 was running at, in those altitudes, ambient temp and low speed (relatively).

Belated happy B'day Ken, and IMO this is the best way to celebrate a B'day. Nice Pics there, will go through the log once I reach back home.

Good video there, although I found a few instances to be really risky and outrightly wrong! But, overall, loved the video. I have been searching for such a cam-mount for my P200. Perhaps, when I ride next to the hills, you can lend me your R1's tank-cam mount!

Also, please do post some more pictures if you have any! I am expecting some lovely vistas and not to mention some beautiful macros. Looking at the greenery all around, I am sure the bugs would have been having fun 'down there'.
                      :)

On the video it looks risky for sure. But while riding, our heads were turned and could make out what was coming. The risky place for sure was where the "f" word was pronounced loud.

As for the tank mount, you can take it. But did you know that a tank mount is available for your 200? Off the net! From the same place where I bought my tank mount!!!

Hey Ken, What time did you reach Kharapatthar and what was the total ride time (home to Hotel)?
Life is like riding a bike. It is impossible to maintain your balance while standing still.
