if you stick to the highway the roads are very good.

after a long wait, couple of months back i bought my FZ and have been riding alone in fact only riding to class
anyway tnx to xBhp i met up with an old class mate threat2myself1,who has been riding along with bioblade for some time.
we decided to ride to Athirapally frm Cochin.my very first trip btw!
a small description of the place

"Athirappally Waterfalls is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappally Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. The Athirapally Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet."

a very short trip, had fun with some amateur cornering even though bioblade ended up crashing out in a corner...he was safe but his R15 took damages worth 6k!

nothing much more to tell but im posting some of the pics!

                  Udhay/bioblade on his R15

I did coimbatore trip few months back.roads on Kuthiran are not upto the mark.bad stretches few kms.It is doable.May be they have repaired the stretch.
Munnar NH49 will be in Good Condition.Just that be prepared for the Hill Riding.

PS:If you don't want to go via kuthiran ,You can take Palakkad-Ottapalam-Shoranur-Thrissur Route as a Alternate route.

                        i was talking abt Athirapally.
the road till chalakuddy is fine...just couple of stretches with bad patches..not a big deal though.
after taking the turn to Athirapally frm chalakuddy then the road is really really good!!loads of turns!
on avg we were able to 80km/h
Uday and Ashiq have done a ride to Munnar, ill ask them a let you know.

I'll tell you this much. Mithun and me were scraping pegs on the road to Athirapally from Chalakudy. It was just butter smooth and beautiful. Some corners are sudden with dropping elevation, and not so good visibility but it is just fantastic.

When are you riding to Palghat? I might be there in the next couple of weeks on the R1.
