I am very sorry for the delay. Was caught up with some stuff.

Day 2:

Woke up and had tea. By 7 we started riding towards baraghagra. Its 10 kms from keonjhar and its not commercialized like sanaghagra. Half of the roads were through jungles. I love off-roading because of the floating feel that gravel gives while you are riding on it. I was excited and within first 4-5 minutes I lost sight of both the guys. But it was not a very good idea and I slowed down.

Not as easy as it looks.
Then we went to another place. This was the top of baraghgra. Had a very good time riding there.
The silencer protector of the 220 has two screws. One of them came off several months ago but I was too ignorant to fix it. But it hit one of the rocks and and the other one came off too. You'll be able to see in the pics. But its fine now.

The ugly looking stream turned into this. And riding turned into fun.

On the Rocks. Thought of pushing it a little. Had fun. Got stuck for a moment too.

Around 10am we came back to the hotel, had lunch and started the return journey. Visited khiching and the 13km road leading to khiching from highway was wonderful. Same goes for the temple.

But they didn't stop for me. So started riding and clicking with one hand. The road had no traffic.

This is the best pic clicked by me while riding, till now.
Left khiching around 2.30pm to battle the bad roads, again. Countless potholes, angry monkeys and a nice sunset later, we entered Jharkhand.

Yes yes I hated the fact that we had to miss Khandadhar and this, simlipal. But I'm only 20 years old, and planning to ride for a long time and don't want to run out of places to travel in Orissa.

End of the day...

Had some food and started riding. Enjoyed the ride through the jungles of shalboni at night, though its not advisable. Took a small break at kolaghat, and by midnight I was back home.

Total kms covered for me was 820+ and 863 for Jonak da. 220fi gave me a mileage of 40kmpl. Never had such low mileage in any other trip. But its not bad considering that we were doing either 85-95kmph or negotiating potholes at slow speeds most of the times.And my CO% was 3.1 too.

I was warned by my parents and friends that these places are in the maoist belt. But we did not face any trouble at all. People are very helpful in this part of the world. My rear break lever was a little loose and I took it to a mechanic in keonjhar. He did the job for free and refused take any money.

And yup, had a sore butt.

Even if i am from Orissa, i have never ventured into this part of the world. Now thanks to your trip i can plan at least enjoy them because where else would we get pics of those places along with the bikes!!

Lovely pics Jonak and Ani...loved them all. In fact, the Kichak temple pics you clicked are way better than what we did on our ride. And we even missed exploring the Bada Ghaghara dam. Another reason for going back there. Great going fellas!

PS: Now I know what Jonak meant by taking the waterfall pic diffuser ishtyle.

Your Detailed PM was a great help buddy. I took a printout of that PM and it really helped us to determine where to go. Anyway, in the next Orissa trip we would love to cover Khandhar Falls, Chandipur, Samlipal, and Panchalingameshwar.
