Thanks for your inputs. Some of them were taken in phone cam and edited. Will make sure they are more balanced the next time around!

Nice pictures. Try this place, dont remember the name now. Just ride down through Manipal from Mlore and keep going for around 20 minutes till you reach the main junction of a small town. Turn left and you are faced with a V junction, take the left road at the V and keep going till you reach the dam, its really really beautiful.

              Nice pics Kwok...

about Kmukh - man its really "heaven on earth". I have been there once and spent only one day there because I was pressed for time. I stayed in the same hotel in one of your pics - the pic taken in the parking lot. We got a neat room with a window view of a small peak which @ sunrise was a picture perfect shot - misty with sunlight shining through it. One day @ Kmukh doesn't do justice to the hidden world around it.

And I think you were lucky with the rains too - it rains a lot ...for a long time ...

I want to go back to that place on a bike this time...sometime soon

Yeah, Dam is just a half way mark. It took us like 2 hours or a little more than that to reach the guest house from Mangalore. We were behind schedule, Kwofist was peeking his bike out "Irresponsibly" (ahh... just kidding meg!)

Yeah, it rained when I had been there on Dio and CT100. The fog literally cuts your vision down to a few feet. And it's damn chilly too.. It's quite warm at this point of the year though.

Great! Let me know! Anytime after december 10 i should be free. I have prior committments until then which will disallow me from riding anywhere.

Thank you Neil. The place which u mention is Lakya Dam which is a few kms before Kudremukh if i remember correctly. The V Junction comes about 15 kms from Karkala and the Malaghat Check post comes next. Correct me if i'm wrong

Yes, it is heaven on earth. The place holds an incredible amount of potential for touring and exploring. I plan to do some trekking around here soon. Its pretty economical as well. We encountered a light drizzle at the Guest House before leaving. I've ridden here during the rains. The fog is crazy here. Even more than Mullaingiri. Also Kalasa-Kudremukh stretch you encounter rains while riding more often than on the route to Kudremukh. I'll have some more posts in the future with some pics from Kalasa!

You should come here again and let me know before you do! Kudremukh is light on my pocket usually and the best place to visit from Mangalore.

Maga! Long time no see! Thanks dude! Glad u liked it! South India will come man. Working and riding when possible. Aint easy when cash flows from your own pockets hehe. But will get there. Meanwhile i plan to post some pics from my previous trips to make up for the lost opportunities to ride south.

I've ridden a bit around Pune but not enough to write about it or compliment it with pics but i will do a proper trip someday in the near future
