No I didn't travel to Pawna. Infact that's one waterbody which I'm yet to visit.

I wanted to do this stretch from mulshi to amby valley. However was concerned whether this road is safe or not as it looks completely isolated and deserted.
Please let me know your feedbacks who have done this route like total kms, bad stretch, thinngs to avoid etc.
    Thanks in advance.
There will be some 30km where there is no road and just need to ride through big rocks and boulders so be prepared. Total kms where the road bifurcates into two the distance is 50km to Lonavla but if you count the number of kms from Paud then its roughly 85kms.
The stretch is very deserted. Except for the odd villagers on their Splendor and one or two Jeeps you won't find any vehicle enroute.

      Set 2 pictures

      True character of interior Maharashtra

      Small wonder

Some more pictures around another small waterbody

On way to exploring a very small village

And this is how the road ends

I could have gone ahead with my exploration but there was nothing interesting in the vicinity.

      Taking a small break

And the bad section starts after that. There were virtually no roads for around 10kms but like I always do I was almost maintaining 50-60km/hr over rocks and boulders and this is when many rocks were hitting the silencer and finally it happened. My silencer was anyways not in a great condition (It 5.5years old now) and it broke into two pieces with a loud thud. Now I was not prepared and I got shit scared because the silencer just broke into two pieces and there was a chance that it might fall off. With no one around (I didn't find a single person in the last 10km) and no idea about the road condition ahead I was clueless whether to ride or not. After waiting for 15mins two guys came in a splendor and they said another 30kms roads will be like this only but that there is a village nearby and most probably there is jeep too so I can get some help.

With no option I rode to the nearby village. Yes there was a Jeep but the guy asked me Rs3500 for dropping the bike to my place but he said that he has some function at his place so he will go only after one day which means I also have to stay there. By this time many villagers came and were examining the bike and one of them said that I can manage with the silencer till Lonavla as the inner liner was still okay. He was very confident that the silencer will not come off as this is a common phenomenon in their village with silencer breaking because of bad roads and he was quite pro at which one will fall and which one not.

His confidence made me filled with energy and gave me enough confidence to start riding again. I was cautious at the beginning but soon I started riding in my normal self. Yes the silencer didn't came off but by the time I reached Lonavla it was almost of the verge of falling off. Spend some good 2-3hrs to get it welded before I headed back to my place.

      Just after the silencer broke

By the time I reached Lonavla I could almost see aarpar.

And the road goes through another small jungle

Finally some relief in terms of road.

      Amby Valley Road
