I have certain questions regarding saddle sore. I hope you will answer them.

    1. Did you modify seat cushions? I am asking because sitting in one position for more than 15-16 hours is sure to make your butt sore.
    2. What all material were you carrying with you? (puncture kit etc.)
    3. Actually how difficult is the fatigue from 12th hour onwards. Did you any time feel so sleepy that you wanted to stop the ride and sleep off.

All these questions are posed because I am thinking of doing a Pune - Bangalore - Pune attempt and would like tips from a guy who has already done it.

    Thanks in advance.
Thanks dude. the answer to your questions

    1. The P220 DTSi has awesome seats. Believe me my ass wasn't sore at all at any point of time. But Ranga found it tough and at 00:30 in the night he decided to lie down on the grass next to the highwy for a minute to rest his butt . But i think it was because he had done a long trip to Ooty the week before and probably his butt hadn't recovered.

    2. Tubeless tyres don't tend to puncture when they are rolling unless something ripped your tyre apart. Since you are not going to be stationary most of the time i don't think u need a tubeless repair kit. And if you do pick up a small puncture you can fill in air and run it for a few hundred kilometers without an issue. We had redbull, chewing gum, chocolates, Chain lube, newspaper and colin to clean the helmet visor (too many bugs get splattered), and since i wear contact lenses I was carrying contact lens solution just in case they got too dry to moisten them.

    3. About 21 hours into the ride our eyelids felt like weights. we stopped had a redbull, chocolate, lot of fresh air and started. That helped a lot. Many times short breaks can do a load of good. the oncoming volvo 5 minutes after that scared the shit out of us and we didn't feel sleepy after that. Crazy driver.

All the best on your ride.

Yes, you can take the same route to and fro but they don't allow too many to and fro's.

Really sorry for the long write up. I just wrote what came to my mind . Hm am not sure if this was the group that went on the royal enfields. They didn't make it though.

Pune-Bangalore-Pune.Not happening buddy. The connecting road is pathetic for a pretty long stretch. You will end up losing too many hours. And the traffic is mad when you cross chitradurga going towards bangalore. You can do it after 2 years im sure consiodering the time they are taking to fix that highway.

And anubhav...too much footage i see

                            hey anubhav and ranga,
Congrats on your victory,in xbhp u have made your names historical for years and bikers to come.

                            gr8 job buddies.

till date i have always read non stop trip logs about karizmas, nt for 1600 kms but lesser distances, but you both have really changed the views of many bikers regarding pulsar 220.
