There is a right time for everything, you have to settle down a little in career and then I am sure even your parents would support your adventurous Endeavors.

To All, I apolozise for the delay. Trip log and pictures are on your way, just give me a little more time.
I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.

          Hi folks - Cool trip

You people remind me a lot off my small time trips . I have been riding an Esteem & had made few trips from Bangalore to Mysore , Coorg ,Coimbatore ,Tirupathy ,Hokanakal , Chennai . Most of them with my parents and friends . 2 or 3 times alone ...What fun .

The point is when i wanted to go to Coimbatore -Kodaikanal - Munar - Coimbatore( a 3 day trip planned by me on my might Honda Unicorn ) I was drilled down till hell by my parents . The only problem i had is i don't have any friends to ride along ( i am new in Coimbatore ) . I still don't understand why my parents are against . They very well know that i am descend rider
( kidding ) . I have drove alone in my car from Bangalore to Coimbatore at least 2 times alone .

I managed to do a Coimbatore - Ooty - Kothagiry - Coimbatore (205 Km ) trip without my parents Knowledge . I informed them only when i was in Connor that i was on a short journey . ( There was a small post and some picks of the trip - before xBhp crash )

You people (born2lead,swiftrider) are blessed to do this trip and nice pictures . Convey my regards to your parents as well . They have a great heart to let go ..

Some day even i would ride long . Waiting for my days .

Well all parents are the same . some have the strength and some are afraid . What ever it is it shows how much they love us
          Keep up the good work

I always knew that sticking around together is far more important than walking out of the door when you oughta shoulder responsibility.

I am 24 and have been earning since 17, but the difference being in the fact that I choose to do stuff with my Parent's Consent as they were the ones who brought me into the World. The trick here is to stick around with your family and yet be independent at the same time. It is more a question of being responsible than callous.
Permission for me isnt a hurdle, but the blessings that are as essential for me as a bike and riding gears.

Just prepare well, xBhp is an amazing place and you would get all the info required. With a good preparation and such an amazing support LEH would be a PEACE OF CAKE.
With Blessing of elders we completed our ride succesfully without a bruise, guess what didnt even had to check the tyre pressure throught out leave aside break-downs.

Yes, they were Anxious like loving and caring Parents they are. Anxious to listen to the everlasting memories we were going to bring back. Anxious to congratulate us on our successful endeavor. Anxious to share our joy and happiness.

                    Hi born2lead!

Hey man, very rightly said, & I would also like to add, that our parents or families are not constraints, they are the people who love us a lot, & all they want for us is to be happy & safe. If they aren't supporting you on a trip today, maybe they have got some valid reasons, maybe you need to wait a little, be patient & work towards making them feel that you are mature. And there's nothing wrong in it. We work hard to please our bosses, who are not even our own, so why does it become hard for us to please our parents, who we know have done a lot for us & who really love us unconditionally.

Thanks again, born2lead for such a wonderful thing you said.

                    Take care.

                        Day 1 - The Beginning

Excitement was rising with each day passing by taking us closer to the
Towards the mid of the week, it started raining and it rained hard. Coz of which our parents and friends seemed quite worried. Though we were mentally prepared for the rains, we started to pray
                        August 8 2200hrs
While Ankur was all charged up thoroughly checking the lists we had prepared earlier and strategically packing things in tank bags keeping in mind the blessings Showered by Rain God. He looked at me as if I would have some suggestions to make, and I just murmured

                        they waved All The Best.
It was 4am August 9 just perfect as we planed and Our Ride To LEH had begun. With a post rain cool breeze at this hour we started towards Nariana where our own Desideep was waiting for us to wish his best wishes. He rode with us towards Delhi Border. We got the bikes tanked up and with a final adios to Desideep and then to Delhi took Karnal bypaas. We maintained a very comfortable speed of 75-80kmph and crossed Murthal. Just a few days back I read in the newspaper that the new flyover at Panipat was inaugurated and was now open for public. And just before reaching Panipat I could see the flyover with a trail of lit road lights at the center divider of the six lanes going up and then gradually descending down a little. We both looked at each other, smiled and in a jiffy the speed started increasing to three digits. All most like racing with each other we overtook few cars on the long flyover and crossed the entire Panipat stretch which earlier due to construction used to take anywhere between 20-30mins in 8-10mins.
Took the first break at Chandigarh at 8:30am. While we were crossing Chandigarh people were staring at us while I was expecting otherwise as so many guys and groups ride these days and all heading to places like Manali and Higher usually take this route. Anyhow as people were still catching up the late lazy weekend morning on Chandigarh roads we managed to pass through in minimal traffic.

KiratpurBilaspur and had an amazing lunch at a road side Sher-e-Punjab Dhaba. Roads till SunderNagar
                        [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]

Post Mandi all of a sudden the temperature dropped by a few degrees and instantly we could feel it just after the next turn we saw the Dam at Oat. Though it said Do Not Stop Vehicle and Photography Prohibited we saw few tourists (All Indians) negating the rules. We continued riding but a little slowly and we could actually listen to the water falling down and could see the mist getting formed from below.
After a few more kilometers was another surprise a 2.8km long tunnel through the hill. HID What more can a rider ask for when he gets a perfect weather, amazing tarmac, tempting curves and if that is not enough the continuous gurgling of water from the river by the road side.

Crossed Kullu and reached ManaliLEH. Checked into a hotel near the main Bus Stand with descent parking for just Rs250. Had a sweet post dinner walk at the Mall road with ice-cream and gulabjamun.

                        Click for Day 2...
