You did this trip on a bike?

    Approved
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

This place falls in Pauri Garwhal, Uttrakhand. The route via Rishikesh would be Deoprayag - Srinagar - Rudraprayag - Ukhimath - Chopta. The trek to Tungnath starts from Chopta.

@Inder, Ken, Suvo, Om, thanks friends that the pics appealed to you

Chopta is called Switzerland on India and its @2700 mtr ASL and is 430 kms from Delhi... in winters Chopta is covered in 3 fts of snow and is almost isolated for 2 months.... Tungnath is Highest abode of Shiva and is 3.5 kms of steep trek from Chopta which takes you to 3650 mts ASL. In feb also we had planned for Trek to Tungnath but were not sucessfull due to 5-6 fts of snow before tungnath... some pics of Feb trip...

for a trekker, nothing is more worse than an incomplete trek... after coming back from half trek to Tungnath, we decided that we have to do the full one again and for that we decided to go again and complete it... we 7 Bulleters again assembled at Akshardham PP on 12th March with seer determination to seek blessings at Tungnath Temple.... we knew that it was still snowing at Tungnath but nothin could stop us...
the stretch till Rishikesh was almost filled with traffic for Kumbh snan...
we all reached at Duggalbitta (7 kms before Chopta) on 1st day...
                      some pics from Day 1...

Interesting trip. 7 Bulleteers! That must have made a lot of noise.

Good to see people wearing proper protective gear and all. Thanks for sharing. Please keep putting up the details.

thanks Ken & Rohit nice words from your side makes me smile

riding gears are must for any ride outside your city... thats a guru mantra we all follow...

after reaching our Hotel (Mayadeep) we took essential stuff and made small back packs and pushed ourselves towards Chopta which is 7 kms away...
after reaching Chopta we decide to have something fill our stomach... had Maggi, egg toast and parantha which were just delicious
took lots of water, as above this place there is nothing to drink as every thing is frozen... had to do a tough trek....
within 5mts of trek we started finding snow.... and that brought smiles to all of us
