Bhola bhai wonderful pics, how did u guys cope up with the lack of oxygen when you were facing AMS? (Just for the info)

Save the Earth - We are the one who are running out of time, as Earth will take it own time to heal but that time may not be enough for us.

Shivanshu Ji ! I faced the problem just before Baralacha. I took hot water regular and kept myself cool. More I did not allow AMS to ride on my thoughts.

              Day-4

He told me to move on air port road for about 800-900 meters at Leh by taking left turn on first circle at Leh and to ask about the Shashi mechanic shop. I reached the shop & you will be surprised that before listening the problem he offered me very nice and well needed tea with biscuits. He is a Punjabi guy from Pathankot. Then he solved problem by injecting one very thin wire in fuel jet with the logic that it will make the proper ratio of petrol and Oxygen. He also fixed the chain and other nut and bolts. He only charged Rs. 50 ( I was ready to give even Rs 200 for this). Then I called Umair. He was surprised to listen that I am at Leh and got my bike ready for next day. He came to me. We took test drive and bike was going very well. After that we checked in Tso-Mori hotel near main market for INR 500.00. In the evening after a mega bath (Which was taken after three days.) we went to market and took our dinner there. Came back at 9:00 pm and went to bed at 10:00 pm.

                      Day 7

We woke up at 6:00 am. This morning we were not in hurry as we had planned to reach K-Top around 11:00 keeping in view the black snow. We took breakfast and started at 9:45 for the K-Top. In order to reach K-Top we took only one break on the check post. There we submitted the original copy of permit. The incline was less than expectation. It proved comparatively easy. We reached K-Top at 10:35. The K-Top is always a dream destination for every biker. At top we took photos and tea. On K-Top there was little bit crowd. We made a major mistake at K-Top. We forget to pay Rs 10 for the tea. We reached back Leh at 1:15 pm. My bike slipped just one km before Leh and gave a small scratch on my left leg which I dressed at hotel when Umair had gone for Namaz. We checked out from hotel at 2:30 pm. We got our tanks filled. We met Shashi and thanked him for his co operation and started for Lamauru at 2:45 pm. As we could not take Lunch so we stopped at Nimo and took samosas with cold drink. We took tea at Khalsi also. We also stopped at Magnetic Hill. The roads were somewhere very good and after Khalsi equally bad. We also had to face wind storm on the way. The wind was blowing at high speed. Anyway we managed to reach Lamauru around 6:00 pm and decided to stay there. We booked a room at Dragon Guest House @ Rs 600. We took dinner in open to sky dining area with shivering hands as it was very cold. Dinner was good followed by tea. There we met Mexican couple who were traveling in India since last 4 months. We shared our experience for half an hour. We went to bed at 10:00 pm.

                      End of the day.

                            Day 9

After breakfast we were ready to move on for Jojjila at 9:15 am. After 20 kms we encountered the rain and snowfall at Matnyal post. Here we stopped for one hour. Later we decided to move for Jojjila at 11:00 am. It took 2 hours to cross the pass. Road was very bad before pass. In the pass it was very good road. But after the pass it was all muddy till Baltal. Bikes were running in 1st gear. On the pass we again had to face the snow and chilled wind. When we reached Baltal we stopped for a break and had Cold drink. Soon we were at Sonamarg, a beautiful place. Actually when we come on Shrinagar side of Jojjila the scene is totally changed. Its all over the greenery. We took lunch at Sonamarg and moved for Shrinagar. On the way we had to discuss about condition of Shrinagar at various points. Some suggested to take bypass from Gandarbal but we decided too go through it. We reached at Dal Lake at 4:45 where we were advised to go straight to Dal Gate instead of going to Lal Chowk. We took a hotel on the Lake and after getting fresh we went to lake where we hired a sikara for one hour just for Rs 100. It was very joyful ride in Dal. After that we took our dinner at Punjabi Dhaba. This was the best meal on reasonable rates. We went to bed at 9:00 pm .
