To introduce myself, I am Captain Ravee (www.captainravee.com) and I am a new member of this dare devil community raised by the mastermind Sunny.



While Manan has covered it all, I would like to touch upon the following headings for benefit of all:

Sunny - Sunny was driving it wonderfully well on the mountains and it was a treat to see him driving this bike to perfection. In his case, I can say that it was the rider over the bike and the bike over the rider. Both made a wonderful companionship and were absolutely synchronized. His reflexes, control and cool temperament were few traits which I admired. I think I would like to compare Sunny as a biker with Sachin as a cricketer.

FEW QUESTIONS ON THE ROAD-

Question of the tour


Few tips-

• While driving in plains, one must keep in mind the degree of error of the vehicle which you are overtaking. Howsoever you may be confident of overtaking the vehicle, keep in mind that the vehicle my come right or left without indicator and you all know that Indian drivers keep their rear view mirrors folded and do not use them at all.
• There are few car drivers who get jealous and competitive while looking at the bikes overtaking them particularly Swift. Rather than over speeding and competing with them at that moment, it is good to let them go ahead for sometime and while it had done its endurance for a few KMS, looking at an open stretch overtake them at around 170 or 180 which breaks their heart and you can see it bleeding.
• Keep an account of the wind factor on high speeds. It can take you off the road.
• On an Intruder, only front brake is supposed to be used both in plains and hills. Rear brake acts only as a stabilizer. Too much of rear brake usage heats it up and the pedal goes down specially in the hills.
• One must keep STP octane booster always. We do not get 97 octane anywhere other than Delhi or maybe Mumbai or Bengluru or Chennai. Engine starts knocking on even high speed Petrol and thus Octane booster helps it reduce the knocking.

A very nice and crisp review of the run there! Mitsubishi Pajero was ahead of the bikes?? Phew! That's news!! The trusty 2.8 liter is still one of the best!

@captain ravee: Great to see you here! It was a delight riding with a gentleman like you. The insightful chat with you and Anurag was priceless for me, and I am sure it will help me become a better individual!

I am sure many of us will gain a lot of good advice from individuals like you and we definitely treasure your presence amongst us.

@all: Going forward, I would like to tell a love story at 11200 feet :

Once upon a time there was a biker with a funny looking moustache, he befriended a canine at 11200 ft and named him CeeVee.



Both of them fell in love which transcended al boundaries set by nature and society:



He told CV that he had to leave and return back to civilization to hire and fire homosapiens:



The biker said "Ok, let us get a picture of ourselves together and you can get it printed and make a flag which will be eternally hoisted at Hatu peak for every dog and biker to see for generations to come:



CV begged and pleaded in front of the biker to stay with him longer:



The biker's other homosapien friend joined in a bid to explain CV that everyone has to die alone in life and that he should not get so attached to the biker:



But all in vain, tears flowed with unfathomable emotions:



In the end the biker and CV said goodbyes against the setting sun at 11200 ft:



The biker was left alone and then he gave his life by jumping off the cliff to mark his love for CV




Even today if you go to Hatu Peak you can sometimes feel the biker's spirit lingering in the chilly air, people say that he now guards all bikers and canines against evil spirits:
