xBhp is heading for different and better times ahead. Over the last few months, there have been quite a few very positive and also very notable changes in its structure, content and visibility. This is an ongoing process. And without doubt, the changes will be entirely built around promoting safe and sane motorcycling, both off-line and on-line. In short, all activities that have been happening on xBhp till date shall get bigger, better and involve a lot more members a lot more actively. And a few new ones shall come around.
As a part of this process, we invite responses from volunteers who shall be empanelled as ‘Resource Persons’ on xBhp. At the moment we are empanelling resource people for the purpose of organizing and executing Group Touring and Cross-country Rides.
Suppose, you are thoroughly familiar with a certain touring route, that you know it almost like the back of your hand, want to share the beauty and excitement you’ve experienced on it during your rides and feel you can guide a group of bikers on a ride along it taking care of all their needs like food, shelter, vehicle breakdowns and possible medical emergencies. If you’re an experienced biker yourself, are a familiar ID on the forum and can build a good rapport with other riders who might differ from you in age, gender, skills, experience and even economic background, then you’re our man/woman!
We need you to be all this to become an empaneled Touring RP on xBhp:
- An experienced biker, whose passion for touring on two-wheels is insatiable.
- Someone who has a compulsive need to share this passion with fellow bikers
- Thorough familiarity with and knowledge about the route/s you propose.
- The ability to independently plan a group ride on the proposed route/s with a group comprising of riders with differing levels riding skills and on-road experience.
- Good leadership qualities along-with the ability to convert a group into a team. Needless to say, interpersonal relationship skills are as important as riding and organizing skills.
What kinds of route/s are acceptable here?
- Any good route, preferably involving a ride above a minimum distance of 100 kms one side and no cap on maximum distance. This can include both on and off-road routes, hills, deserts, forests, coasts, cities etc etc.
- There should be good and clean places to stay at the destination with an alternate enroute for any unforeseen emergency. To keep the rides financially within the reach of the majority, we would need to limit lodging charges to < Rs. 1000/- a night on a twin sharing basis. The lesser the better if comfort, safety and cleanliness are not compromised.
- The route can include an element of walking/trekking/rafting/yatching etc in it too. For example, in the hills, the motorcycle ride can terminate at a town/village where the bikes can be left safely and the group can trek further for night-stay or excursion.
To volunteer, we would like you to furnish information about yourself in the following order:

(Volunteer application and ride proposal mean the same here)
PS: The idea is to involve RP’s as ‘mentors’ for popularizing safe and enjoyable touring on motorcycles. Of course, the ride expenditure of the RP’s shall be taken care of for any group ride they are asked to volunteer for on the routes they have proposed. Also, considering their riding expertise and experience along-with the fact that they have proven abilities for leading and executing group rides, they can be invited to lead rides on routes other than the ones they have proposed for.
