Ride/track info is attached with that map. Approximate speed we did on each section is marked along with the pointers. Click on it to view it. The route is paginated, from vazhachal to Salem. Recorded it on the tristate trip. You can guess the road conditions from our average speeds.=============================

Praful - you spoke my mind; Though bad roads, I want to drive/ride this route after looking at the pics. I know Valparari & Nelliymapathi, Athirapalli are all scenic drives but was hesitating for the bad roads. Should be great in two-wheels.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostPlease tell me where exactly is this route, Highway numbers/towns villages/etc.... In a way, bad roads are fun too!
From Athirapalli upto TN border, roads are bad, you can keep an average of around 30~40 kmph

[QUOTE=RanjithMN;447356]tht will be me!Originally posted by frmneo999 View PostMan! You rocked the highways! On my way back from salem, I had a very short chance of riding you as lead.. Just before the rain started, the cross winds ruined my confidence in keeping high speeds and lost sight of you! I have no idea how you rode like that with such strong cross winds!! ^
^
thnx bro.. but u guys were amazing too... riding all the way from kerala and back would surely have been back breakin but still u guys did this .. hats off to you'll.
Yep thts what bikers do but you still deserve a big THANK YOU on behalf of Kerala team!

I did a ride on jan this year Coimbatore-Pollachi-Valparai-Athirapally-Palakkad-Coimbatore. It took more than 2 hours to ride that 80km valparai-athirappay stretch. My wrists took a toss. However, the Pollachi-Valparai-Solaiyaar was well laid.Originally posted by RanjithMN View Postafter athirapally for around 80km the roads are really bad....im not sure if we can avoid this but we all truly enjoyed it...it made our Ride complete..the only thing in this ride we dint encounter was Snow !
kudos, to KL riders to ride this stretch as just a part of their ride holding up the energy level.

Thanks for the inputs guys! Will do this route before the monsoons end this year!
I'd prefer to have bad/broken roads over smooth tarmac.Originally posted by aargee View PostPraful - you spoke my mind; Though bad roads, I want to drive/ride this route after looking at the pics. Well true for bad roads; but I don't prefer muddy, big potholed or broken roads unless I play NFS III
