Praful - you spoke my mind; Though bad roads, I want to drive/ride this route after looking at the pics. I know Valparari & Nelliymapathi, Athirapalli are all scenic drives but was hesitating for the bad roads. In a way, bad roads are fun too! From Athirapalli upto TN border, roads are bad, you can keep an average of around 30~40 kmph

I did a ride on jan this year Coimbatore-Pollachi-Valparai-Athirapally-Palakkad-Coimbatore. It took more than 2 hours to ride that 80km valparai-athirappay stretch. My wrists took a toss. Bad roads ?
Those 80 kms are bliss , when i can do it with r15 Suspension ,on a pulsar its a Breeze. especially in the rain ,through the forest its awesome ..
