Njoy the pics more words coming later

The last leg of the journey towards Chopta was really taking the @#% out of us including me. That part of the body was continuously battered and the road was almost there but not present. So , the hotel was almost far far away , & I was thinking that we have lost the road to the hotel and we had to return back to the hotel downhill back to Srinagar. But, Zayn had some really well surprises for all of us and then out of no where the hotel came in . The best part of the hotel was that getting there was almost like an off-road event . it was downhill terrain and that too with rocks infested to provide max grip to the cars or so called SUV could be able to climb to the main road.

from the hotel we went more into the valley and shot some more pics

Yo bro !! ride long into the hills yeh !! say this in black speaking accent, yo!!

Thank you govt for providing us with gd roads

shally trying to some "out of box" pose

the day on the hills comes to an end

This green will all be white in winter , that calls us again in Mar 2011.

          Yeh !! hurray

          the engines

          yo !!! man!!!

wont say anything at this pic!!!

just to make u laugh !!

gd hotel stay.....a place which makes u away from tring tring of ur phone , ecelctricity in day as lots of SUnlight, gd thing we should learn.

            Saturday night & Sunday 21st !!!!! pics & log

            Saturday 19th night :-
While coming back we save the nature by reducing the carbon print to some gms as we decent downhill with engine off & using only gravitational force to pull us . This was really fun because there was no on coming traffic and the terrain was also fair enough to glide down. If there would be an pillion then video would have been possible but anyways its not recommended as it may become scary if you remove eye from the road. Only at some places we reqd to crank up the engine to get power back. My technique was putting the bike in top gear and keep the bike engaged in clutch, so any time u can start the bike without any jerk or so.

For dinner we had our dinner which included 4 packs of Humble maggi with Petro & Zayn gorging on them while me & shally had ROTI,RICE,ARHAR dal, ALu+CApsicum ki sabji, and trust having rice after having alu parathas all day long was such an estacy. After food we headed back in the open on the roof top for an chit chat session .Trust me all the route from Srinagar I was asking that Chopta must be cool or Zayn will be prosecuted for forgery and I was made wrong. Sitting over the roof top and accompanied with some holy spirits and the topic which was most favorite was Uttaranchal was an "God Bhumi" and there were plenty of Ghosts roaming in the holy city. Trust me some spirits after all day long of butt paining, wrist wrenching trip , u can just chill in the cool breeze of HImalaya's and the air keeps u awake.
Most of us were wearing jackets to keep us warm. No network means no tension of bank balance , no call from clients , friends nothing. Just "u & ur tanhaii" with frnds present at that place.

            Sunday 20th :-
Cant believe that this was the day when we were going to return back to Delhi the same day. But it all looked like so easy now. I think that was the feeling of the biker who involves himself in touring
got up laxy by 6am and trust me if I had the thermometre , the temp was close to 5`C .....almost felt like an open door of fridge when we whent out of the room. So, an quick tea session with biscuits which I had taken from the plains.
Here are the photos which follows

            on the way to Lansdown

One our return journey we took an new route from srinagar via Powdi .And those road , i tell u made me remember of Hollywood film TORQUE opening scene only diff would be the road was in high altitute. Shally had to go to his relatives place via gomteshwasr via Chopta , so we were left all alone three back to or I should say close to HOT delhi ..

            ..

we took very short breaks and keeping the time very tight , thats why very less pics were clicked

scene of srinagar city from up -above

quick ,short breaks or sutta breaks !!! & i m an non -smoker !!

Gulshan Bhai !! could hardly resist the lens "malum hai"

This is the 2nd last pic of the trip, this is in Powdi , where we had the yummiest alu paranthas & dishes of egg before we stooped in meerut in the later part of the day.

And the Last pic of the Day

The story of this pics is that after this we received heavy downpour and I kept all the electronic items in the safety of the plastic bag. This pic was taken while getting towards Lansdown !!

On our return journey took some stops near Ganga barrage and I got lost in the Ghaziabad traffic while finding the way to Noida. Atlast found both Zayn & Petro waiting for me as good friends.

Summary::-- It was an gd expirence of riding close to 550kms in an day & that too including the hills . Drank lots of water and taks very short breaks to ease the whole journey. And yes keep changing the sitting postures to keep all thing good. Also visited Lansdown while coming back and really liked the momo in the market.
We reached Delhi at an ease by munching 1 last Burger at Mc D at Nehru place. Was in bed by 12.30 and the trip metre summerising the total trip to be close to 1100 kms from my doorstep to Chopta via Noida & back !!!

As a new month lingers new plans will be built , this time a ride in the rain will be inevitable .. Hills trip for 2 days wont hurt again.
            Total spent by me :-
            Bike service pre-tour :-Rs.500.00
Petrol spent :-15 lt + 4lt+ 2lt ,costing Rs.1150(apprx) , i never felt shy of filling her up as I was ripping all the way.
            Food & lodging:- Rs.500 +Rs.200.
So, approx expenditure without service was Rs2600 , not bad when you had earned it while doing overtime !!!

For me money well spent !!!

there is kedarnath wildlife sanctuary behind chopta where you can see some wildlife aswell, but for that you need to venture in the jungle just opposite the mayadeep hotel....

ya, Chopta has a lot to offer rather than just being and silent hill station, so would be doing it very soon to complete some un-finished business
trekking would definately brng some cal off our life but yes it would be promising.May be next trip we will keep one more day to do all other things than biking, like little more into the nature.

@ Aryan Da -- yes , Kunjal was really missed ,when the 1st time I saw Mirchi!!!
