Taste was so so, but in Sub-zero temps, it felt awesome. The old HOPE, menthol wala is still my fav. Anyways, RUM flavour sounds good.

Here we were there we will be
On an EPIC ride its you & me.
There we were now here we are
ln the dead of the night
Here we ripp, right left & blind...

                          ***THE EPIC BEGINS***

29th MAY, 11:00 PM : Geared-up, three simple men looking no less then antic local superheroes on their under 250cc rides, ready to strike & cut through winds, as if riding nothing less than the BUSAs & FIREBLADEs! MAD, they were...

Heart beating as if there was no tomorrow, excitement surging as if there was no future, frightened but pretending, waved goodbye & left.

Riding at 80 kmph through urban pot holes & dodging heavy vehicles, its not a child's play when you are almost blind & left alone on your instincts. When you know that if you gave-up, two more will follow and a dream can turn into a disaster. If that wasnt enough I had been strictly advised to keep a close eye on Motor & for a reason, even Alankar. They both were first time crossing the State borders. Alankar's tail bag was predicted by many to have been tied very loose & hence risky. And I was wondering how can I in the dead of the night can keep an eye on a person's tail bag who is riding behind the person who is tailing me! Complicated job, I say.

PIT-STOP 1 - 01:00 AM, 110 kms : Blinded by on-coming traffic & closely following the two in my RVMs, gave me a bad headache & hence riding further with an empty stomach wasnt a good idea. We stopped at a highway dhaba by the name of Hotel Aaram, pure veg (I hate Gujrat), no options in this part of the world. We had simple Dal-Roti & left wasting no time as another 750 kms were yet to be covered for the day to end.

PIT-STOP 2 - 02:41 AM, 212 kms : Miles had slipped beneath us and we were tired & sleeply. We took a short water break around a village called Chikli in Gujrat. Motor had his sutta, rest of us had water & we left, chewing more miles on the odo.

On our way ahead an idiot lidless pulsar rider tried to race with us & when the offer was Silently turned down by the three of us, strictly hooked to the formation, Safety matters. He started moving frontwards & backwards looking at our alienoid appearance with a child like grim on his face. Now with good roads beneath us we were lazily cruising at 100 kmph. A few mins later, the guy came riding parallel to me & started a conversation @ 100 kmph. Though all his questions were unanswered, still at 100 kmph he took out his visiting card from his back pocket & handed me over saying, "Ye mera card hai, call karna!", leaving me with a puzzled mind, he zoomed ahead verymuch satisfied with himself & his dumb antics. STRANGE WORLD? No! you'll find such antics in Gujrat very often, this wasnt my first encounter with such species & I thought, this is just the beginning.

PIT-STOP 3 - 05:48 AM, 353 kms : This time around we covered a decent distance at one go. It was almost dawn, the sky had turned starless, a pale blue had taken cover over the black night sky. Though the moon was still glowing, having no deadlines, no destination, no worries, it kept looking at us with a pale smile on its ever smiling face, Moon it was. We had stopped at a beautiful construction, a futuristic toll booth by L&T. We stopped, drank water, motor smoked another 5 seconds of his life, Alankar & I took some pics & left yet again.

Now on a SIX LANE GQ tar stretch covered with the very first rays of sun, it was time to let go, it was time to FEEL the FREEDOM. For the first time in last 9 hrs, I saw Alankar's bike zip past me at 100+ kmph, Alankar totally hugging his tank in a strange fashion, I wondered if there was more to his frustration or something else! Then I looked at my RVMs for the most restless being of our team, where was Mr.Motorbreath? And in no seconds Motor followed & I watched both of them transforming from big horses to tiny rats, they were out of sight now and this was it, I opened my throttle. 100-110-120-130-135-140 kmph (on speedo you a**!), ripping unbothered leaving behind all the cages & carts, I approached the long gone but satisfied now, the two were back on 100 kmph after a 20 min ripp fest. The formation was back on place, now ripping at 120 kmph, fiercely approaching Ahmedabad...

the FUN STARTS HERE... so the log ahead will be SPICY!!!
